We wanted to try our hands at some do it yourself (DIY) face painting since our kids love face painting so much when they see them at events or fairs. With larger face painting charging around $15-20 before tip these days, we were hoping more face painting at home would phase them out of wanting face painting at events or fairs. The mixing of water and the colors take a bit of a learning curve, along with utilizing the different brush sizes. The 6 paint brushes cover the basic sizes, however the quality of the bristles are definitely not as good as professional makeup brushes. Nonetheless, you get what you pay for considering that this kit is about $17 for color palette, 6 brushes, plastic and sticker stencils along with some gem stickers. So you cannot expect professional grade makeup brushes. We had our attempts with face painting the kids along with kids face painting other kids. The plastic stencil is hard to use as the stencil does not stay put and the paint bleeds through. The sticker stencils are a little better and easier to use but we might need to do more practice to get the hang of it. Overall, adults and kids made use of everything in the kit so the kit is worth it’s $17 price point.

Great for parties.

Poor quality. The paint barely even came out the color that it was. Threw away after one time. Kids hated it

All colors were melted to the inside of the tray. Only things useable were brushes and stencils

So this brand is not as good as others I ordered, it is a thinner texture that’s hard to get right w water, provides way thinner/ less coverage, but is relatively easy to use and easy to take off… the color selection is really good though and lots of extras. The brushes cracked after first use but it’s possibly my kids left them soaked in water. (light pinks, purples, etc.) The other brand I ordered had less colors but the paints were bette. This brand had bad texture when mixed w water and only sheer coverage.

I didn't really have high hopes for this, but it pleasantly surprised. It's a full beginner set with brushes, sponges, a great selection of colors, and even bling stickers and stencils. It also had a really nice how-to book which was clear and easy to read--full-color with illustrations for a bunch of common face-painting requests. This was really an excellent set and the box was visually appealing as well--definitely giftable as-is. It had 2 small jars of glitter, which had leaked a little over the paint, but not a huge issue. Each paint color was in its own section, so not all blended together like another set I had ordered previously. The colors are vibrant and wash off easily.The box was labeled as these were non-toxic, cruelty free, etc. I'm really excited to gift this to my daughter. She's going to love it. Couldn't have asked for more in a first set of face-paints for her.

Pros:This is a great face painting set. It has a lot of variety in color and even includes some glitter.The gems are also a fun addition to the set and make the little kids happy.I like the set of stencils as well. It is great for doing quick facepainting for groups or at a party.The paints work well and go on easy.It comes off without issues and says its nontoxic, which is great.Its a good value at $15, lots of variety and potential in this set.Cons: None so far.Overall, this is a good set.
