LABORATORY THERMOMETER -10°C - 50°C King Scientific

This is my second one if these, as my first one broke when I accidentally dropped it a few inches into a glass bottle and it broke. My fault, however the thermometer is easy to read, a good size so fairly easy to handle and responsive to temperature changes. This means you're not waiting ages for the temp to show accurately on the scale.I use this for home development of C41 camera film and it's never let me down! Predictable results are gained as temperatures need to be kept within an accuracy range of +-0.3°c.Just be aware that if you do crack it, and it leaks it will likely stain anything it touches a pinky red colour.

Initially I wrote: "Mine has a gas bubble stuck just below the top of the liquid, making it hard to take an accurate reading. Accuracy doesn't seem too far off, if I read it from *above* the bubble."Turns out this bubble just arose in shipping. After the thermometer had been sat on my shelf for a while, I noticed that the bubble had gone. I just tested it in some iced water and it read 0.4°C -- not bad accuracy for the price.

Simple looking and easy to use. Easy to clean. Does the job!

I ordered 4 off identical thermometers to average out errors. I was disappointed to see that there was at least 2 Degrees Celsius between them, a larger error than expected. This was made worse as I was sent 3 different thermometers, each a different range defeating the reason for purchasing. Avoid this seller as the obviously just sending the junk they can't sell.

Hard to be sure, but I suspect this is out by at lease one degree. But close enough for most purposes.

Reads exactly 0 Degrees in ice, comes in a good quality notch slide case. Made in England.

We bought this one because it was inexpensive, and it's great. I didn't know specifically what a laboratory thermometer was, so I was surprised to see it's about 30cm in length. It's a only little awkward for testing for Corona Virus, and not really designed for that, but perfectly fine if you don't mind it dangling from your mouth.

These are a large version of the traditional thermometer. They are very sturdy, clear to read the results and come in a good plastic case to store them. They are ideal for older people as they can be read clearly and also used under the arm to get a reading too.
