I am in love with this camera.
I’m thoroughly impressed with the Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3! As someone who values simplicity and reliability, this dash cam checks all the boxes. The compact design is perfect—small and discreet yet powerful in performance. It mounts securely to the windshield with its magnetic mount, which is super convenient. The video quality is fantastic. The 1080p at 60fps ensures that footage is crystal-clear, even in low-light conditions. The wide 140-degree field of view captures everything I need, from road signs to license plates, without any distortion. The HDR feature is a huge bonus, especially during evening drives when lighting can be tricky. The integration with the Garmin Drive app is seamless. I can easily access and share my footage directly from my phone. The voice control feature is a great touch, allowing me to save clips without taking my eyes off the road. Plus, the parking mode provides extra peace of mind, recording any incidents even when the car is off.The loop recording feature and microSD card compatibility give me plenty of storage, and setup was a breeze. Overall, the Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3 is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to enhance their vehicle’s safety and security. I highly recommend it!

Best Minimal Dash Camera by a Long Shot
Great Little simplistic dash cameras. Easy to install and work perfectly. Videos are clear and easy to review.

Decent, functional camera and software app
Using iOS and the garmin drive app is functional. Not perfect, but it functions. Uses a supercapacitor over a battery which is a plus. Takes 32gb sandisk microSD which come pre-formatted in NTFS. Captures decent video and sensitive to gyroscopic jolts which can be modified to more sensitive or less. ODB2 power adapter it comes with is nice and supports a second camera.

Cute hardware, terrible software
The camera is small and discrete, that is great. The software experience is terrible. The mobile app is bugging you all-the-time about "Expired Vault subscription", yet another paid cloud service to take over my privacy that I will never consider. But the worst thing is that the only way to transfer files to the phone is connecting it to a WiFi network that the camera shares. This requires you to unlink the phone from your car if using AppleCar or Android Auto. The camera can connect perfectly to the WiFi in the car, why can't it just use that network to share videos with the phone?

So far, seems great
Setup, even for a tech doofus, was easy. No problems at this early juncture

It's a Garmin😎
Had to use another device installing in my vehicle since it only has type c interface connectors.

Perfect
My wife wanted a small camera that wouldn't block her view, which this does perfectly. In fact, you don't even notice it until it beeps when detecting something. They give you a generous amount of cable so i had no issues running the wires behind panels. The constant power adapter is perfect. I hate hanging wires and always want wiring hidden. The OBD-II adapter allows you to hook the power up discreetly in a location that also allows you to tie up excess wire and hide it from view. It also provides a second hookup for a rear camera.

Small and easy to hide
This camera has already paid for itself. I plan to get a 2nd one for the back window. They have a couple voice commands that allow you to take a picture or record audio. If you plan to not pay for the monthly subscription cloud you can save the videos to the camera locally with a microSD card. The OBD2 power connector gives it power 24/7 and allows for 2 devices to power at once. It uses a sticky mount and it holds well in the heat.
