Duronic Portable Bluetooth Speaker Portable DAB+ Radio (Portable Bluetooth Speaker)

This little radio is insane. The battery life is incredible, I listen to Bluetooth while working and it lasted well over 11days minimum run time of 6 hours a day and still had a quarter battery life left. Quick to charge and easy to get a back up rechargeable battery. I have tried adding the additional batteries. The sound quality is ok, perfect for what I wanted it for which was a few days camping. The DAB seems good, I am really impressed with it, looks well built and easy to use. 9/10 from me, the sound quality could be a little more refined if that’s what you are looking for, but for me it was more about practicality and battery life.

There's an on/off switch under the battery cover. I spent ages trying to work out why it showed as fully charged but wouldn't work. There's nothing about this in the instructions. The aerial is hard to lift out from it's slot. I frequently have to put the end of the scissors, or something similar, in there and flip it out. Not exactly ideal. Other than that, I'm impressed, especially with the radio. I live in the middle of nowhere and getting signal for things like this, is usually a challenge. I could pick up a few different stations and they were clear. Not only that, but I could move the radio around and it didn't affect it at all. The torch is bright and a useful feature. Finally, it's lightweight. I expected it to be heavy, but it's not at all.

I am generally sceptical of solar power in this type of machine, but this one does actually work! It just needs daylight and you get a red light on the top to indicate charging.The hand crank does work too. You would have to crank for a long while if you wanted to charge your phone but technically it could be done. In reality probably easier to carry some spare AAA batteries.For the most part I have simply charged this via usb C to the included rechargeable battery. That has worked well. It is possible to trickle charge my phone but the battery capacity is pretty small.For the radio side DAB+ works well. I got about 10 stations. FM was pretty terrible in this area. I never bother with AM radio but I cannot see that radio actually has AM.Sound is acceptable and it can go quite loud without distortion. The bass port on the back helps a little - It's fine for voices but a bit tinny for music. Bluetooth is excellent and I have used it to listen to downloaded podcasts via my phone. The lights are pretty bright and the alarm is loud.Not sure about water resistance - I would guess it could survive a few raindrops and the rubberised corners do give the impression that this would stand up to some knocks.Overall: this is not competitively priced at the moment. Assuming it will get a good reduction I can see it would work for people who want the features promised. Good one to keep in the emergency cupboard for when the end is nigh.

This stereo is the best one I have used so far. It's good quality, well-made and is durable.There is shock protection thick edges which works well, I had an accidental drop out of a ground floor window so this is how I know they work.The radio came already charged so I could test it out right away.The sound quality is good. It does sound better and louder against a hard surface. The sound is adjustable.There is a handle that you can pull out from the back, this is so it's easily carried and you can hang it up on a hoor or nail.There is a built-in torch which is very handy. There are 3 different brightness options. The more lights on the front you turn on the brighter it is. There's also an sos button that flashes red and lets out a loud alarm sound.What I find really cool is the different charging options. I mostly just use the USB c option though. I use it inside more often than outside.There is a hidden on and off switch near the battery compartment. When I first tried it out, I thought I received a broken one but I found the switch insider and turned it on and it worked.You can connect your phone via Bluetooth So you can play your own playlist off the stereo.The stereo is really easy to use. It does come with instructions If needed.The led screen is clear to see / read. It's handy that it shows the battery status, time, date, radio station plus other things.Recommended and good value for this radio as it will last for a while (the rechargable battery it comes with can also be replaced).
