I am using this item as a dresser and it is even better than I expected. I measured everything and compared to my space and current dressers. I had 3 tall dressers and one wide dresser. This room was crowded and it was unbearable. Of the three tall dressers, two of them were 5 drawer and one was 4. I was able to get the clothes from 2 dressers into one of these. This has drawers which are 9 inches deep, almost twice the depth of the 5 inch depth of my previous dresser drawers. I have a ton of clothes and only a little space and storage in my house so this was an incredible help. I managed to put two dressers to the curb and I ordered a second one of these so I can hopefully get rid of the other two dressers.The dresser is taller than I am so I put my pajamas up in the top drawer because I don’t need to see what I’m wearing to bed. I just put long sleeves and pants on one side and shorts and short sleeves on the other so I can reach up and grab what I need without the visual being an issue.For the item itself, it was extremely easy to put together. I did not use the included screwdriver, I used a screw driver gun or drill. I did build it by myself in about 40 minutes. (I’m not a handy person, it was just that easy!)It’s extremely sturdy and is probably holding 70 lbs of clothes inside as well as a few blankets I rolled up and set on top. Only one drawer can be open at a time which is a great safety feature to avoid tipping. It does come with the mounting piece where you can screw it to the wall to protect it from tipping but since this room is being completely redone, I haven’t figured out the final spot for all the furniture in order to do that yet but without it screwed to the wall I still have had no issues with it leaning or tipping. I have had it for a month now and I can say this is one of my favorite purchases for organization in my small space. I am considering ordering a third one to store Christmas decorations, bags, bows, etc, but I haven’t gotten as far as measuring if this would be reasonable storage for these items or not.I don’t even know what else I can brag on on this, I just love it so much, it truly went beyond my expectations.

It is a very well-designed and constructed file cabinet. Although it takes some time to assemble, the manual is straightforward, and there is no issue with assembly.

I had a high need for a new file cabinet - the one I had was no longer suiting my needs, was of a cheap quality, and one of the drawers had broken. I did a bit of research on Amazon and came across this lovely specimen. After reading a few reviews I took the plunge and am incredibly happy with it.There was lots and lots of styrofoam in the packaging but it did it's job and there was no damage to the parts at all. Like others have mentioned in other reviews, I would *strongly* recommend using a *fully charged* power screwdriver. Some of the screws are hard to get started without that extra "oomph". While the assembly instructions are easy to follow, my power screwdriver ran out of juice halfway through the job, and it took me probably a half hour longer than it could have to finish. And oh yeah, like the video says, after inserting the drawers, be sure to press down on each corner until it is firmly in place.When all was said and done though, I was EXTREMELY happy with the end result. It looks clean, simple, and professional, and fit perfectly where I needed it to go. Yeah, sure it won't withstand a fire, etc. but it's solid enough for my home office needs.Highly recomended!

Comes packeaged very well. Instructions are simple and easy to follow until the end of the assemply. The outer carcass went together very well. The drawers, which you assemble last. took a moment or two to figure out because the drawing and instructions were a bit hard to follow. The big problem came when putting the drawers in the carcass. The drawers don't fit so, the drawers don't close properly and if you jostle the cabinet a little too much trying to get the drawer to open because it sticks, the locking mechanism engages and you have to use the key to disengage the lock while trying to get the drawer to pull out. the top drawer is the most problematic. I'd rather return it to get something of better quality but it's already assembled (mostly) and I'd never be able to get it repackaged like it was when I received it so, I guess this a matter of getting what you pay for.

There is a LOT of assembly to do here, and it is much easier with an extra set of hands. Our unit arrived with damaged rear panels, but it still went together ok and we didn't file a complaint. In assembling, it can be quite difficult to get the drawers properly aligned so they all close. Be prepared to work on it, press/bang them down into place, to make it work. The unit feels cheap, and this feeling really doesn't go away. It is definitely not a professional office quality thing that would feel sturdy, solid, and cost four times as much. That said, once assembled and with some contents added, it is respectable. The dividers in the drawer and the hanging rails feel cheap, and the dividers do not go in tightly. Breathe on them and they'll fall out. Who needs dividers anyway, right? For our purposes, particularly since it will be used as much for supply storage as filing, it will work fine. If you need the extra heavy, extra sturdy filing solution, stick with the big office supply place ones that cost hundreds of dollars.

Very easy to assemble, it just takes time with all of the pieces. Looks great and works great. I really like that you can only have one drawer open at a time to avoid tipping.The drywall anchors suck, but they all do.
