This perfume arrives in very beautifully-done packaging—high-end peach-colored box with a textured surface, gold accents, a metal plaque with the scent name, and a velvet interior lining. The perfume itself is in a heavy frosted-glass bottle with the same metal plaque for the scent name and an onion-dome shaped textured cap that is surprisingly weighty. The bottle is approximately 2" x 2" x 2-3/4", so a nice generous size. It would make an incredibly elegant gift for someone that enjoys fragrances.However, my box arrived with damage to the inside from (I'd assume) the heavy bottle rattling around during shipment, which kind of spoiled the upscale look of the product. They need to do more with the packaging to secure the bottle in the box. If I was spending this much money for a gift I'd be pretty disappointed in the end result for my recipient. And the perfume IS incredibly pricey—I can't imagine actually spending this much money on a bottle of scent, especially one that I couldn't try beforehand. It is definitely NOT something I'd normally consider purchasing at this price, so I do appreciate the chance to sample it.That said, I really liked this perfume. It's a lovely pastel peach color that perfectly matches the exterior packaging and this bottle looks so elegant on my dressing table. I'm a big fan of pure floral scents and so the freesia/magnolia combination really appealed to me. The bottle is a spray bottle and applies a light spritz with each push, just enough application of product to add fragrance without being overwhelming. It does smell like freesia and magnolia; however the freesia portion is the most prominent and I couldn't detect much magnolia, which is disappointing because I do love magnolia. It does smell great nevertheless. The perfume is strong at first but then settles down into a nice detectable fragrance that isn't overwhelming. I put some on last night and can still faintly smell it on my wrist this morning, so it lasts well.It's a great perfume that smells wonderful and comes in a beautiful presentation—a big thumbs-up for the product itself. I'd give it 5 stars if it was more appropriately priced.

This perfume is absolutely intoxicating. It’s elegant and addictive. The fragrance is one of sexy, divine and not overpowering. One that I LOVE! You will not be disappointed.

I can not describe what this smells like to me but man it’s awful. It’s a sickening sweet smell that I can not seem to enjoy. I can even bring myself to actually spray it because it’s that bad. If you can find this at local counter at a mall etc that’s a better way to smell before you buy.

My son brought this for me for Christmas and I smells so good, but I wasn’t really excited about the price he paid. I will enjoy this gift to the very last drop. I love you son ❤️❤️😘

So, my wife will wear perfume a few times a week, and has 2-3 kinds that she likes, which all smell pretty nice. I also use cologne most days, and neither of us put a lot on. We’ve used the same ones, more or less, for years and occasionally will get an outlier as a gift (usually from our kids).The reason I’m going through all of this is that I’m positive neither of us have ever had a perfume or cologne that cost $229 (before $50 coupon) for 3.4 oz. Most of ours cost $50-100 for a similar amount, and, in my opinion, even these are too expensive (although, to be fair, they do tend to last a while).Well, things like this typically don’t come around a lot on Amazon Vine (most of the products for us to try are accessories for obscure things that I don’t own), so I decided to try this “parfum” and give it to my wife. I was expecting to write a blistering review saying how this smelled no better than her regular perfumes while costing 4-5x the price.I was wrong… It's great. Really, really great. I’m not sure how to describe a smell. The description says it’s “Essence of White Florals, Jasmine, & Bulgarian Rose - Luxurious Vanilla & Sandalwood Symphony.” OK, I guess I can notice those different scents, but whatever it is, it smells fantastic, and is easily the nicest perfume I have ever experienced.It is very pleasing, and in a very subtle way. I put a little on my arm, and for over an hour I noticed that I would “sneak” a little whiff of it because it smelled so good. It also lasted a surprisingly long time, although I then worked out (and could still smell it while working out) and then showered. It’s now gone as I’m writing this, and, I’ll admit, I’m missing it a little.As you would expect for the price, it comes in a very nice, solid, heavy bottle and an elegant box. Would make a great gift.I debated giving this 4 stars for the cost, as I would never spend that much money on a perfume. However, sometimes quality is worth the price, and it’s just my personal preference to not spend that much money on a perfume or cologne, but others might. As a point of reference, I will spend money on things I like; my car is a Bentley, which I purchased new, and that’s way more money than you should spend on a car, but to me it’s worth every penny. I’m sure there are people out there that feel like a really nice perfume or cologne is worth it (even if I don’t).The other issue is purchasing an expensive perfume like this “scent unsmelled” (as opposed to “sight unseen”). Obviously, it would be nice to try it out first to make sure that you find the scent pleasing, but I don’t know how you can go about doing that as I doubt this product is in department stores, etc (although, maybe I’m wrong) and it’s non-returnable through Amazon.I guess that’s why they provided the bottle for me to try. I probably did not do an elegant job describing the perfume, and I was expecting to be underwhelmed, but if there is a perfume that is worth $229 (minus the $50 coupon), this is it. It’s terrific. If there is a 5 star perfume, it’s “The Story of Amber Floral by Prince Parfums Dubai.”
