Excellent Product !!
Worked great for holding all the memory settings of my Subaru Legacy while I replaced the car battery. Also works on a Ford Fusion. Amazon lets you know whether it is compatible with your exact vehicle. You will need a 12 volt auxiliary power supply for the device before plugging it into the OBD port of the car. I purchased a Nexpow Q105 12 volt car battery jump starter from Amazon to power the device. The car battery change was successful. This device is well made and is easy to use and is very economical.

Works well. Low price
I needed to disconnect my car battery and needed this to keep the ECU alive. This worked on an Altima and seems to priced well. No regrets. Just feels cheap and the LED seems to be unreliable.

Essential for Auto Battery Change
Great value and functionality. Must have an auxiliary 12 v battery; I used my portable generators small battery.Simply connect alligator clips first positive then negative, then plug into the obd under dash then change the car battery. The battery minder maintains all electronic settings. Invaluable for changing RAV4 hybrid auxiliary battery.. maintains sensitive settings.

A handy tool when replacing or disconnecting my car battery
My car has a lot of codes stored in the memory that get lost if the battery is disconnected. This device is a work around for that.I plug it into the the OBD port and then put the positive and negative clamps on a spare 12v battery ( I use a portable jumper as my 12V source). I can then disconnect the battery to swap it out or service the car. Once I hook the battery back up, I unplug this device and I don't have to reprogram the radio, the Navigation system and the ECU has retained it's memory too.I don't have to worry about idle relearns or completing a drive cycle .

Good For Providing Back Up Power
If you have a situation where you have to remove the vehicle battery for an extended period of time save yourself the possible headache of having to re-program your on board electronics. Some vehicles loose memory programming when the power is disconnected for long periods. The device just clips to your battery terminals and plugs into the OBDII diagnostic port to provide sufficient power to maintain the vehicles memory. A pretty neat device!
