I'm booking my tickets
This is one of the best travel books I've read, and it made me realize how much life you can experience in just a week when you travel. The first-person narrative quickly gets me in the headspace of an early 20s girl, and the writing masterfully uses travel as a metaphor for living life that even I, a brooding man in his 30s can experience the joy of travelling solo. I hope to read more from this writer.

One of the best reads in recent years
This book is a mirror to all those little moments we often brush aside or feel too embarrassed to confront. The author captures the nuances of human experience so vividly that I found myself nodding, laughing, and even cringing at times. It’s rare to read something so deeply relatable—like the author had peeked into my own life and articulated feelings and situations I hadn’t even put into words. A brave, honest, and beautifully written piece of work.

A must read
An amazing book with beautiful writing from the start to the very end. I loved the dedication- “This is for the 15-year-old me, who would be proud of me.” The book touches upon several important sub-themes including mental health and family. From the role of each parent to the relationship between the three siblings, each one has depth through casual interactions between the characters. Sanjana, the main character is a free-spirited woman who embarks on a journey to find herself. Taking pictures in the airport, getting excited to get free candy, and feeling awestruck taking in the beautiful scenery makes her highly relatable. The imagery is full of emotions and the book immediately makes you want to book your flight tickets and go on a solo trip. The description of each place makes it feel like a magical world to be explored. Meeting new people and developing friendships becomes her favorite part of the trip. Moments where everyone is together portray the connection they have found with each other. A must-read for everyone who loves traveling and those who have future travel plans on their bucket list.
