I use this product to control outdoor perimeter lighting, I have surveillance cameras outside and sometimes suspicious vehicles parked across the street where there is an empty lot , with this device I can turn on a flood light from anywhere and deter loitering across the street. Works great!

could not get it to connect to WYFI

One worked great and the other one works intermittent so I bought 2 more because they are cheap...

It works as it should and not too hard to connect to WIFI network.

These smart lamp sockets work great. They connect up fine using the Smart Life app. Because so many other devices use this same app, I already had it installed, so one less miscellaneous app to clutter the phone. All it took was holding the button for 6+ seconds and the app found the socket. Alexa picked up on it a few seconds later, too.Within Smart Life, there are a couple of special features. First, it has a child lock, so that someone randomly pressing the button won't trigger the device, and instead it takes 4 taps to activate. Also, there's a handy setting to chose what happens when power is restored to the device. This is super handy if the device is hooked up to a regular "dumb" switch. By setting the socket to always turn on when power is restored, a "dumb" switch will work sort of like normal (with a slight delay).Plus, the Alexa integration works perfectly. The device can be turned on/off within the Alexa app and by voice. And, what I really like is being able to include this new socket into routines, so the lamp with this socket will automatically turn on at dusk and turn off when I give the "goodnight" voice command.
