I've tried several traps in the past and always resort back to these for gophers! Yes it could be a little bit creepy to set the trap but once you get used to it it's no problem you could do it by hand without any tools. The trick is to place the flap close to the end of the pin and angled slightly toward the entry. Do this and they are flawless!

There was a defect in the manufacturing of this product. The traps are non-functional because you cannot set them. The spring binds before you can wind it all the way to the set position.

Too big for moles

Do not buy these traps. Way too hard to set. You have to dig them up to check if caught anything.

Moles do not dig tunnels. They move along just under the surface by pushing up and by moving dirt from front to back.
