Q: Is this dark brown or clear?

Dark brown, but not opaque. Like a strongly brewed tea or coffee? It does not leave a color when I add 2-3 drops to a bowl of yogurt.

Q: Is it true the product has changed it's formula and it is no longer a 5 star product?

I guess it has changed. I didn't notice. I just dropped it directly on my tongue to see. And yes it's very slightly more bitter or metallic than it used to be, but still better than SweetLeaf and others I've tried! It used to be so smooth and no aftertaste it was almost unrecognizable as stevia. I still think it's the best brand comparatively. But I may try some others to see.
