Has the old fashioned taste of yeast
I like that you can actually smell and taste this yeast. Has the flavor of yesteryear before the dried yeast came out. It is a little pricey, but the quality is there.

Too long to arrive
The product I’m sure works well however it showed up 10 days later and there’s a no return policy. If you understand how yeast works it has to be kept cold and when I arrived the ice was completely melted and yeast was at room temperature. I discarded it and that was a very expensive price tag to pay for yeast to have to throw it away.

I was very pleased with my cake yeast. The only drawback is the quantity I had to buy to get it. I realize there is a limit to how small a quantity can be sent to make it profitable, but I only use it to make nut roll a couple of times a year. I don't know exactly how much I will be able to use before it goes bad.

In my first review I gave this 5 stars because it was packed between two cool packs and arranged tightly inside a mini cooler. It was still chilled when I received it. Because this took 5 days to receive, I was very impressed at how it was still cool on the inside. Then I baked a loaf of bread using this product. It came out low rise, very heavy and dense. So, I decided to test the yeast next to the active dry yeast I already have (it's past the expiration date). This product did not ferment AT ALL. The active dry was extremely active, still. I even tested this product 3 times to be sure before I threw out $50 worth of yeast. Ugh. What a waste of money. The cakes seemed somewhat moist but crumbled apart. Save your money $$$.

Excellent Quality!
Purchased these yeasts just before Easter and was pleasantly surprised: was delivered earlier than promised, solid and sealed package, very fresh! Worth the money! They are very strong! Easter baking came out just perfect!

Great yeast!
The product came in all nice and new plus expired date was very lasting. They make very good dinner rolls when its done plus rub butter on top the rolls and have a great smell to it
