Great alternative to a full installation charger. We don’t do many miles so the cost of a full installation wasn’t viable. This has worked great for us. Definitely recommend

Worked fine for 6 months, charging brand new Vauxhall Mokka e.Today, noticed a smell coming from the EV-rated plug socket where the charger is always plugged into, and the plug on the charger itself was melting onto the socket. Please see picture. Will contact the seller and see what happens from here.

Bought as a temporary measure pending installation of a home 7kW charger, and it does the job perfectly well, but slowly of course. Aware that some chargers can overheat I have been cautious in adjusting the rate (which is easy to do on this charger), but extended running at maximum rate (13A) has not led to any problems. This gives around 2.8kW charge rate to the car battery. The temperature of the unit is shown clearly on the display and it peaks at 34C when using max charge rate, remaining steady at that level, not hot to the touch.

Works fine

I purchased this for my plug in hybrid that only needs a few hours top up charge.They recommend to use the lower amp settings for overnight charging due to safety reasons but you can choose anything from 6amps , up to 13amps. If you’re looking for a charger for a full electric vehicle you might want to look for a more higher output professional fitted charger, but as a portable charger, it does the job, if somewhat slower.
