This is a great collection of all of Abbas’s most popular and most played songs.Worth investing in if you are an Abba fan.

Excellent music

It's great that ABBA, one of the most beloved hit makers of all time released this epic vinyl box set spanning their entire career including the singles from the 2021 album, Voyage. These tracks are truly the best from all their albums with remastering done at Abbey Road Studios. Despite it being printed on regular vinyl, the sound is generally really good with the albums held in paper sleeves (a bit disappointing) but with plastic, static resistant interiors. Big full clear sound. Accompanying the hard cover well assembled booklet full of photos and a brief synopsis of ABBA and the singles over the years, something doubtful that can be appreciated in the CD or streaming editions. So why 4 stars? A small quibble, but I noticed there's what seems to be something like a tiny tick or some noise in between each track on Record 3, Side A. It doesn't seem to have any other defects especially when the music is playing. I'm unclear if this is just a one off pressing issue or if others might find the same problem. But that aside, it's a beautiful musical edition of a timeless band.

The Singles – The First Fifty Years (4LP) Obviously they had to omit some older tracks to make room for the new tracks from the Voyager album.Some reviewers mentioned the sound quality was lacking on their older tracks.I disagree I have found no problems with the sound from the double version cd. Maybe theres a problem with the vinyl version but I can't make a comment on that platform. If your unsure about the sound quality get a Japanese copy SHM cd version. The sound quality is way more superior on SHM cd's.

We all know ABBA's songs. Always catchy, and some will tug at your heartstrings. I sprung for this one, since I had read somewhere that this compilation would include some remixes of the songs, in an attempt for a sonic upgrade. I was disappointed to find it didn't happen. The best sounding tracks are those from the "Voyage" album. Obviously, nearly 40 years of recording technology upgrades show clearly here. To Bjorn and Benny: it's time for an upgrade on the sound from the original 70's and 80's sessions.
