Good stuff for one-offs
The paste I'd tried before was much more geared towards being used with stencils and a pick-and-place machine than a hobbyist with hot air and a magnifier. This paste is much more for people like me!Watching it work is magical, only the whine of the reflow station reminds you that it's not. The flux burns off impressively cleanly as the solder pulls itself to the pad and component leg; you need to give a little clean afterwards but it's not like goopy rosin residue that IPA just turns into glue. Cleaning helps find any shorts that you might miss as well. It's good stuff - I'll be back for more once I'm out of this pack.

Easy to use paste
Solder paste is really useful for tinning pads and for SMT components. Particularly if you are using a hot air soldering station. The pack comes with a couple of needles and a plunger for the syringe. The paste is easy to apply and with heat it pools and tins nicely. When you first use it you would think it would be messy but it really isn't unless you are heavy handed. I would advise cleaning with isopropyl after use. While primarily for hot air stations, you can use this with a regular iron. I actually find that it works well for tinning pads even with an iron.Handy paste for soldering.

Works perfectly with practice
This is a really great product. It's the first solder paste that I've tried, as I usually buy the regular flux-cored solder and separate flux. I've been practicing with it for a while on some old scrap boards and now I've worked out roughly how much/little of the paste I need for each job I'm getting good results and some really nice joints. It's quite easy to end up with solder bridges if working on components which are very small or very close together, so watch out for that. There's quite a bit in the tube but I can see myself getting through it quite fast. I would definitely buy another tube when this one runs out. The applicator works very well and the provided nozzles etc make it easy to use if you're careful with how you apply it.

Pretty good and inexpensive
This is my first outing with solder paste and I wish I had tried it much earlier to be perfectly honest. Though I have numerous soldering irons and a soldering station that includes a hot air rework gun as well, I have previously soldiered on with either fluxed soldering wire or wire and flux separately. In the kit is the solder, a plunger and a selection of nozzles. The paste is the consistency of slightly thick toothpaste but does dispense easily enough. When heating the flow onto existing pads is great and left a very tidy finish. Clean up after with IPA is minimal and is probably less messy than traditional soldering with wire. All in all a very impressive paste and I am definitely a convert now.

Time saving stuff.
You can technically use this stuff with a traditional soldering iron, but why not just use regular solder? No, this is primarily for use with an air gun. It saves a fair bit of time. You can apply directly to the headers on the PCB or to the posts of SMCs.The flux burns off quickly and cleanly when heat is applied. A quick brush off with a clean soft brush and you're good to go. You don't get a great deal in this kit, but I suppose it depends how much you need to use.Reasonable quality given the money.

The 1% makes all the difference
I've used a lot of lead free solder pastes and my least favourite is Tin/Bismuth.The formulations which work best always involve a little gold and silver to bring everything together and this stuff really proves the point.Even at only 1% silver, it makes much nicer and more consistent joints that the tin/bismuth alone.Nice solder, will solder again.

Good quality solder paste
This syringe of lead free solder paste is good quality and easy to use. It works well and comes with different types of precise applicator tips. I'm pleased with this good value solder paste and I would order it again.
