I'm a repeat customer of this seller - I use the hulls as cover material in a composting toilet. I was disappointed this time to see that instead of the two 5 pound bags I usually receive, I got 10 individual plastic bags of 1 pound each. I try to avoid such excess plastic use. I reached out to the seller and received a prompt and thoughtful reply with a suggesting on how to fix the packaging for next time. I've edited my review and raised my rating because of the stellar customer service.

Added this to my soil mix and its amazing!

I bought for my soil amendment to my personal mix. They had some dust but overall pretty light. No bugs no problems. Great filler to Air or fluff out your soils mix and keep light and not tight. Along with other materials like coco core, perlite, worm cast etc. makes for a great water and air amendment to keep the soul light and free from compacting so root can move more freely through out your substrate. No afids or worms in my batch and had no problem as to date after some 3 months using.

I use for soil making and top dressing my plants for both nutrients and airflow in the soil. It really helps keep the top dressing from setting up hard. I also haven’t had any sprouting like some brands half the bag ends up growing instead of doing the intended purpose.

The rice hulls are great. They came in sealed, 1-lb plastic bags. No complaints from me!

First I love that this completely natural. Keeps my soil from compacting and moisture retention.
