My 7 year old loves this thing and keeps it plugged in 24/7. It has literally been plugged in for 4 months straight and the lava and bulb is still going strong. Typical lava lamp size and shape. Great purchase.

The media could not be loaded. Awesome! I have 27 lava lamps and this is in the top 3 favorites that I Love! The yellow is so beautiful and background color isn't too strong that it overpowers it looks amazing and almost like Eggyolks floating in there, very good mix of 2 colors..Brand LAVA is just Simply the Best For your Money.

This lamp arrived extremely cloudy. Generally, a cloudy lamp is a result of rough handling or transit where the wax gets jarred around to the point that it separates into lots and lots of tiny specks, which is why the "liquid" portion of the lamp looks cloudy. Sometimes if you cycle the lamp (turn it on to heat the lava completely, then turn it off and let it cool completely) the wax will reconstitute and the liquid will clear up. Sadly, this did not work with this lamp. The "liquid" portion remained extremely cloudy and murky.The cap and base were nice with the smiley faces. The whole lamp was packaged very well and arrived intact.Lava lamps are tricky at the best of times - it was a bummer that this one didn't work out. I returned it and purchased a different type that arrived in perfect condition. So, just the luck of the draw I guess.I have had MANY lava lamps and it has been my experience that if the liquid is cloudy right from the start, it is most likely going to stay that way. I haven't had any luck in clearing up a cloudy lamp. Just my experience.

Glass was scratched but I just turned it to the back side

I purchased a new item.I was shipped a lamp returned because the water is so cloudy cannot see the goobs move. The box top was torn off so the fact it was iused was obvious. FURIOUS; 1 star is too generous.

Came on for 2 mins and turned off sending it back for a replacement..Edit received a replacement really fast like next day and it works perfectly...2 stars for now

Give it two or three hours to fully heat up so it can operate at its optimum potential. Run your lamp less than 10 hours a day. Don’t ever shake the lamp. Also remember to allow it to cool down for a few hours before re-lighting. You may also want to pick up a four pack of extra 25 watt appliance bulbs at the bottom of the Amazon product page. There’s an almost endless variety of colors, sizes, and decorative customizations available too, so you should have no trouble finding one or more you just can’t live without. I love my Lava Lamp and am positive you will love yours too.
