It's well experienced by those of us who have to travel with Pantone books that the outer box takes a beating and eventually rips apart. This carrying pouch is a nice alternative to protect the swatch books, but likely not a practical purchase for most people. It also won't be fully immune to the books getting damaged from being squished/bent in other carrying items like backpacks or tote bags since the case is soft.While I like that I can see the books inside the pouch, sunlight can damage the colors over time so this case could get away with a smaller clear window. I store mine in a drawer when not in use to better protect the books. My biggest complaint is that the straps inside are just *barely* long enough to hold in a thicker swatch book (my uncoated book for example, held in by a centimeter of overlap). A bit more overlap would be preferred if they could change that for the next product iteration.

I was happy to find this item to protect my Pantone books when I have to carry them with me to a job site. They were getting banged up but now they will be protected which is great. The seams at the handle are well made and the handle is sturdy and the zipper is smooth.
