Great Value - Warmth On a Budget!
I purchased four of these for my wife and kids before our trip to Yellowstone (late Sept.). On our first night our heater wasn't working in our tent trailer and the temp outside reached 26 degrees F. It was cold! I would say that the temperature in the trailer was just above freezing at the coldest part of the night. In the morning I asked how they had slept (all of them had gone to bed with warm bed clothes, hoodies, socks etc.) To my surprise they had all been warm during the night. My wife commented that her feet were a little chilled during the night but that two pairs of socks would have remedied the situation. The bags certainly did their job and I'm glad we bought them or we would've been sleeping in the SUV all night with cold and cranky kids. The good:-They all said that the bags felt very "cozy" due to the inside material and amount of fill.-One of their favorite features was that the top collar of the bag is made of the same soft material as the inside of the bag so when you pull it up against your neck you feel the cozy part on your face and neck and not the nylon outer part of the bag that tends to be cold at night. They also liked the Velcro pocket inside the bag.- The zippers, in my experience were, smooth and worked great. The Zipper Plow feature kept the nylon from getting snagged in the zipper.- The new-fangled tying system actually works well when you take the time to refer to the illustration on the ties. Once you get the hang of it, it actually helps you cinch down the ties on the bag quite nicely. The not so good:-One of the bags arrived with a zipper that hadn't been tightly sewn down.-They are not large bags by any means. If you are a large guy then these would be a tight, if not uncomfortable fit. I am 5'8" and 170 lbs. and I fit fine in them but there's not really too much room to toss and turn. This could be viewed as a good thing however as I noticed (when trying one out) that the bag would turn with me and did not allow currents of cold air to get in. My large Coleman flannel bag, on the other hand, has plenty of room, but also allows lots of cold air to get in when I turn over. Of the five of us I slept the coldest during the trip.- The material used for the inside of the bag is pretty warm and cozy, but as stated in other reviews it does catch on dry skin. I asked my wife if this drove her crazy and she said that although it was bothersome it wasn't as bad as we had thought it might be.- As mentioned on other reviews, there's no way that you'll get them back in the original stuff sack without a ton of effort. We threw them away as we aren't too worried about babying cheap sleeping bags all that much.Overall: This is a great value if you are looking for a warm bag (down to almost freezing when dressed warmly) on a budget.

Used & Abused for 5+ years! 😆 Washed a million times too!
Oh man... so, I don’t really like to give anything a 5* rating but there is no choice for 4.5* or 4.8*😆Seriously though... this thing has been used and abused for YEARS!!!It was intact until just the other night when my 17 year old decided to use all his might to tear it open by pulling without unzipping, so, before I could get a word in... the zipper broke! 😑I bought this sleeping bag for a 5th grade camping field trip I was chaperoning for my daughter’s class 5 years ago.We haven’t taken it camping as much as I’d like but we have used it many times in the house for sleepovers and such. One year, we pretty much used it on a daily basis as a warm, thick comforter for Chicago winters! We’ve taken it on picnic trips, soccer games (to keep warm), for sleeping on the trampoline, sleeping under dining room table-turned-fort, hotels, sleepovers at grandma’s & many sleepovers at our house. (Too many to count)This thing has been washed & dried a million times! We recently took it for a 10-night family gathering at a beach house where I washed it daily since it got wet on the boat (it was cold every day) & stunk of camp fire smoke we enjoyed nightly!Even though the zipper broke, thanks to my super strong teenage son, I will continue to use it with or without a zipper & will buy a new one!It is super thick and comfy; it feels like a luxury comforter & I personally love the navy blue color. You can’t go wrong with this sleeping bag.Perfect for adults and kids alike. Unless your 5’11 or taller. My son is 5’10 ,150lbs & fine for him & I’m 5’4 but overweight by a lot, unfortunately. I don’t like mummy bags, I feel like I’m being choked to death!A friend who is 5’10” & 210 lbs said it was snug on the sides a bit but still okay.I’ve read some people have trouble putting it into the carry bag... I’ve never had a problem. I was lazy this last time and decided to shove it in the bag & it worked perfectly fine-no struggle!Other than the zipper, it still looks brand new! & no, we’re not super careful with it. It’s been used mainly by careless teens and tweens! 🤣Kid Loved, Mother Approved! With Every Penny! No one paid me to write this (though I wish they did 😝)I purchased a total of 3 of these actually 2 blue & 1 green).Green one is a little different & a different story- zipper broke fast on that one but the blue ones just kept on going!!!Hope this helps!

Great Purchase!
Loved this sleeping bag. It was about 45 degrees outside at night in Flagstaff Arizona in this sleeping bag on a cot. The sleeping bag was comfortably warm. My face on the other hand was quite cold. In a tent I was perfectly comfortable. So just the sleeping bag itself was snug and comfy, great purchase. (Good luck squeezing it back into the pouch that it comes with, (that was some work!)

Warm sleeping bag, shredded carry bag
I’ve used the bag twice in cold weather. It performs well, keeping you very comfortable. The texture of the bag’s interior is almost tacky. Leaves, twigs, string and lint stick to it. As other reviewers mention, it’s almost impossible to get the sleeping bag back into its carry bag. After the second attempt the bag shredded along the drawstring closure. I’ve filed a warranty claim after several attempts with Coleman and will update the review with their response..
