Neither my girl or I can get on with the rosemary smell which is why I knocked off a star.Highly recommended.

I have two cats, one of which is particularly stupid - he's a ginger cat and it's not his turn with the brain cell at the moment..,. he will eat anything. A couple of times this has resulted in trips to the vet, so I'm very cautious about what products I'll use on him!Many supposedly 'cat safe' products contain ingredients that aren't safe if ingested in larger quantities, and the product makers label them safe based on the assumption that if it doesn't taste appealing to cats then cats won't ingest much of it.I'm pleased to report that this product does appear to be genuinely and fully cat safe! Ingredients and notes:- carnauba wax: non-toxic and generally considered safe for cats- coconut oil: generally safe for cats, excessive ingestion can make them sick if they're not used to it. It is possible for cats to be allergic to coconut oil- beeswax: safe for cats- shea butter: safe for cats- rosemary extract: rosemary itself is safe for cats to eat and extract is safe in moderation, excessive use can cause irritation to skin and eyes- vitamin E: not toxic but excessive quantities can interfere with vitamin K activityso from the above, the only things to be aware of are potential allergy to coconut oil and potential problems from excessive ingestion. But as with any product for your pet it's best to look out for any signs of allergy on first use, and if you're using a product like this really often or for a long time it's best to consult your vet to address the underlying cause of the symptoms you're trying to address.After looking up all those ingredients, neither of my cats seemed to mind it on their paws... they took notice that I was touching their paws but didn't lick at the balm or anything - typical! I've used it for a few days on a paw pad that was a little rough and it does feel smoother. Seems to be a good product.

I make shoes, and with all the machines and chemicals I use, my hands suffer.I noticed this and was attracted by the tin at first, it looked just like a traditional tin of shoe polish. Looking through the description, I realised it was made from very good ingredients, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Caranuba Wax, Shea Butter, Rosemary Extract, and Vitamin E.These are all good for leather and hands, so I thought I would give it a try. Using this might be good for the leather, and my hands...The wax is good, quite firm and good for my purposes. Testing it on leather it works well, moisturising and giving the leather a sheen. I don't polish it off, it's better to leave it to do its work, and it protects from water and chemicals. Also, it's colourless, so it works well on coloured leather, many I use are bright colours.The good news is it's good for my hands too, it's not greasy and doesn't cause irritation, plus it protects them from the chemicals I use without irritating them. Normally my hands suffer from the ingredients, but not with this, so it gives my hands a rest.I love the tin and label that attracted me to it in the first place, it looks classic and vintage. The tins are 6.5cm/3.5" diameter.Of course, I can't recommend you use it on your hands, but since it has no chemicals or additives, I'm comfortable with it. The ingredients are very good, so even if you get some on your hands you don't have to worry.The price is fair for the quality of the ingredients, and I love the presentation, I'm sure any dog would be happy to have it!

Ordered this to help heal our cat's sore paw after he began to pick it raw. It certainly seems to be doing the trick. Recommended.

The balm has a pleasant, mild scent and a smooth texture that’s easy to apply. My pooch didn’t seem to mind it at all, allowing me to spread it on her nose and paws without any fuss.Our elderly pet has cushings disease which causes skin problems amongst other things.After just a couple of applications of this balm, I noticed a significant improvement. Her dry and cracked nose was noticeably softer, and her paws were no longer irritated.It also helped reduce the hotspots she occasionally gets, which was a relief.
