Best stick vacuum ever
I waited for a few weeks to just test this out and see how it does. I bought it to use in my RV but I had no idea how much I'd use it in the house as well! It has a surprising amount of suction! It picks up pet hair and even gravel that gets dragged in from the driveway. It's really light weight so great for wielding over your head and using in areas you cant reach (like sucking webs out of the corner of the ceilings...yikes!). Super easy to switch ends and convert from stick vac to hand held and the rotating brush head swivels getting into lots of odd corners and under things. Great product!

Terrible suction, terrible on carpet, and tiny canister
I follow a cleaning account on Instagram and she always raves about this vacuum. We have a Dyson and love it, and moved to a two story home and decided to buy this for our upstairs. It’s terrible on the carpet and has a hard time going straight. We can’t use it upstairs because of that so we use it on our main floor. It’s terrible on our carpet stairs which is annoying when vacuuming to have to go upstairs to get our Dyson. After vacuuming, you’re still feeling dirt under your feet and when you go to hang it up, tons of dirt falls out, even if you leave it on for a second before turning it off. I wanted so bad to love this, especially since it’s so much cheaper than our Dyson, but it’s terrible and my husband wants to throw it away every time he vacuums. The cleaning girl links this vacuum, but in her picture it’s a different ryobi model with a bigger canister. The battery goes really fast as well, no way we could do our whole house. We bring our Dyson downstairs to vacuum down there when we are sick of our floors not getting cleaned. The weight distribution is terrible too. It hurts my wrist after a while. The part you hold is heavy and the stick with the vacuum is extra light.

Better than our old Dyson
I like the ability to use the shared batteries from our other 18V Ryobi tools. Has more power than our old Dyson cordless vacuum, and better overall build quality to boot. Nice wall mount for the charger and tools. I like the single switch to change power settings and the separate switch to turn the brush on and off for carpet or tile use. There are two minor drawbacks for me. First, this thing is larger/heavier than a Dyson. But a lot of that size/weight is in the more powerful motor and the larger battery pack. Second, it is very loud on high suction. Sounds like a jet turbine in smaller rooms, like the pantry. If weight and sound are not issues for you, I would take this over any Dyson all day long. Especially if you already have additional Ryobi tools that share the common and readily available batteries. If it helps your decision process, I was faced with buying and replacing yet another Dyson battery (we had to do this every year as they don't hold up), or buying something different. For the money I was spending on new Dyson batteries, it made way more sense for us to buy the Ryobi. We are very happy with our choice.

Nice stick vac
I got this for the house as a little touch up vacuum and my girl loves it! I mounted the charging station to the wall so it's always charged and ready to go. The attachments are easy to change and the main power head works great. The only thing I would say is that it's a little loud. I get it, most vacuums are loud, but it also does a good job. So it's a fair trade, just don't use while people are trying to sleep. lol.

Heavy and uses a lot of power but works fine
This is the first Ryobi product I have found less than 4 or 5 stars. This vacuum is heavy and used 4 bars of a 6 amp battery to vacuum about 10-15 minutes. Our Dyson lasts much longer but the Ryobi 18 Volt Battery is what attracts us to this one for our off grid cabin. We charge batteries at home and bring many up to our off grid place for power tools etc. If you need one for 110 volt home use there are many better options. We just wanted to leave one at the cabin and transport charged batteries so we are keeping it-but just barely because it does a reasonable job.

what took you so long!
I always helped my wife out by doing the cleaning. Time goes by, loved ones pass, & personal health changes. I've had 3 back ops in a 7 year period., & I've struggled with the cleaning. However, after using the Ryobi Stick Vac, I must say this is one of the better investments I've made. Easy to use, can do my entire house with 1 battery, suction is good (keep the filter clean) no cords to drag around, light weight, no belts on the brush to go bad or rip your carpets to shreds. Excellent product. Recommend this to anyone who has to vacuum, good or bad health. Good job."I remain Bruce Stanton"

Powerful Vaccum
It performs exactly as advertised. Customers that are disappointed in this vaccum are expecting this to function like a larger corded vaccum. When using the carpet roller attachment on high power it will go through the battery relatively quickly, so don't buy this if you live in a 12 bedroom mansion with exotic animals for carpets. It'll take care of a 3 bed 2 bath home fine. Portability, suction, ease of use is where it shines. Empty the container and shake out the filter after each use and it runs perfect every time.

Works great if you only need it for less than an hour.
I'm not talking about how long the battery lasts, I'm referring to how long it takes for the product to drop dead. It worked well for a total of about 45 minutes, and then the horridly designed power head seized up solid, with the brushroll and its supports melted into a single piece. The lone upside to this adventure is that once Ryobi customer service heard which model I had bought, they shipped me a new vacuum with a different model number. It's telling that they didn't want the old one back. The new unit works quite well, although the charger mounts to the wall differently and I now have extra holes.
