Nice quality set.
We have a food court of sorts with lego sets and this was a great addition.-It came in very well packaged and in perfect shape. Everything was accounted for, no missing pieces. All the pieces were molded perfectly.-The pieces were separated into numbered bags that went along with the same numbered steps.-The instructions were pretty well done. Although some steps do have quite a lot of pieces. The previous steps were grayed out. They gave good views so you could clearly see where the pieces were supposed to go.-The pieces went together perfectly with no problems. They also stayed together great, which some of these off brand sets sometimes have issues with.-As with any set containing stickers you will need to take care when applying them.-I am not sure I would agree with the 6 year old suggestion unless you want to do it with them. More along the lines of 8-10 starting range.-The finished set matches the listing photos perfectly. This set has a bunch of cute little extra bits and details that really add to the whole ambiance.

Super cute Japan street food block set
Loved the theme on this little building model set and couldn't resist. Had fun putting it together over the holidays. There were some frustrating moments where some pieces fit extra tight or needed some focused attention. As with others, the stickers were tricky to use at times, but overall this set was a delight.

Cute, fun 12mm build
First, I want to point that these are 12mm "mini" bricks compared to standard 16mm. I can't stand 8mm micro bricks, but I love these 12mm sets. So much more detail pops, not to mention they take up about half as much space! This set was particularly fun to me. There are so many little details crammed in here with the little food items and decorations. I didn't encounter any missing pieces, even had a single extra piece for most smaller pieces (and not just a random smorgasbord at the end). Everything also stuck together well, good quality bricks, no overhanging pieces or poor tolerances. My only issue is that the stickers on the red hanging things (not sure what to call them offhand) don't stay on well because the pieces are rounded. Other than, looks lovely!

Adorable set with TONS of detail.
If you’re into building block sets and appreciate the detail that goes into them, this Japanese street scene model is a real treat. The design is full of small, intricate details that bring the set to life, making it satisfying both during assembly and once it’s displayed. The numbered bags and clear instructions are a nice touch, mirroring the precise organization you’d find in those higher-end, Denmark orginiated sets, so it’s beginner-friendly without losing the charm for us more experienced builders. With 951 pieces, you can easily finish this in an evening, but you'll probably take more time to appreciate the thought that went into creating this kit.The blocks are made from smooth high quality plastic that snaps together without too much presure. The colors are beautifully coordinated, making the final build something you’d actually want to keep out as a home decoration (which I ended up doing.) While the pieces are small—definitely more delicate than standard Lego-sized bricks—they add to the precision of the finished model. Just be careful with the tiny pieces, as they can be easy to lose. It’s a great choice for anyone who enjoys building detailed mini models, with the satisfaction of knowing it could be a display piece once it’s done.

Charming and detailed build with some tricky assembly and sticker issues.
Impressive design and details: The FAFAFA 951-piece Takoyaki Shop is packed with charm. From tiny food items to intricate cooking setups, every corner of this build has something to admire. It’s a substantial project that takes time, and the end result is a sophisticated and visually appealing Japanese street scene perfect for display.Smaller size with good fit: While smaller than standard LEGO sets, the pieces generally fit together well, which adds to the satisfaction of the build. However, some parts, like the curved tube across the stand, are tricky to mold and often pop out of place, requiring patience to secure.Sticker challenges: The set uses stickers to add detailed designs, but there are some downsides. Stickers often span multiple pieces, so you can’t disassemble parts without ruining them. Additionally, if misaligned, they tend to crack when reapplied, so precision is key on the first attempt. While the full-surface stickers are easier to align, some are cut slightly off-center, which might bother detail-oriented builders.Mixed assembly experience: While the build overall is enjoyable and rewarding, certain pieces are difficult to snap into place, which can lead to frustration. These small challenges may not make it ideal for younger builders despite the age recommendation of 6+.Verdict: This set is a fantastic choice for collectors or fans of Japanese architecture who appreciate intricate details and don’t mind a few challenges during assembly. If you’re up for a time-intensive, rewarding build with plenty of visual payoff, this Takoyaki Shop is worth considering. Just be prepared for some sticker struggles and tricky pieces!

Great display piece
The bricks fit together smoothly and hold well, and the instructions are pretty clear and easy to follow, so it shouldn't take very long to assemble. The set also isn't very large, so it will sit perfectly on a small shelf or ledge easily. Stickers can be a bit hard to apply when fully assembled, so you may want to put them on before those parts go together, but other than that, the set is pretty fun to build. Overall, if you like Japanese things, or you just like building kits r would like a display piece, this is perfect for you.
