Didn’t work for my situation
Did not work for me unfortunately. Placed every bag in box scattered in area of bats outside of eve for weeks… still bat poop all over. Maybe works better inside like attics?

Bugs seem to like it
I was amazed at how well these worked. My wife put these in some potted plants on a stand outside one of our windows. A couple of days passed and I checked them. The side facing the window had many bugs on it including a cockroach. I thought that there so many bugs due to the interior lights in the evenings. So I checked the other side and it had captured a lot more bugs. They work so good that I placed a few indoors (not in plant pots) to try to get the hard to get bugs such as the occasional flies, etc. We'll see how that does. I'll try to update this after I check the results. These work good when put with plants but not by themselves. It was worth a try. After a few weeks these things have grabbed a bunch of bugs both inside the house and outside on our deck. I have just put several more in the potted plants on the deck. Hopefully they work just as well.Suggestion for the manufacturer: Instead of making these in the shape of a butterfly (which isn't what attracts bugs) consider making them in a circular shape. This will make it a lot easier to remove the paper exposing the sticky sides. When removing the paper from the existing shape the paper tears every time when the pulled edge passes an outward curving edge. This generally means restarting the removal near the torn edge resulting in your fingers getting stuck.

Added one star.
Here is an update. My wife put plants with the bug catching stickies in the sunshine, warming up the adhesive and making it sticky! Under these conditions it works a bit better. Still not as good as the other one. The red pot is for the first review below.First review:It caught one gnat, it gets one star!Looks the same, isn't the same.We have used the sticky yellow traps before. The picture shows the old one in the same place as this one. The old one worked, this one doesn't. We put them in all the usual places and in total we caught only this one gnat. We have found that age will kill the traps. We tried a fresh old trap and it didn't work either. (Yes there are gnats this year also!)

Super Sticky
Very nice!Very incredibly sticky. Even if you get them caught on something and have to pry them apart these will still work and catch bugs! One alone has literally caught enough tiny bugs to cover the entire surface. We have a lot of house plants and do a lot of exchanging and always have cycles of small gnats even if we change out alllllll of the soil every year it still happens. These traps help to lock them in place so they can’t keep breeding. Very easy to use too.Highly recommend!!

No affect
I didn’t experience any affect on bats what so ever.

Reliable fruit trap
We have been using these for years. The stake is soft and doesn't go into dirt easily unless its pretty soft. Otherwise, very sticky and will catch your fruit flys and little bugs that can get into the soil. I have had friends swear that the only way to get rid of bugs is to spray, and while that is generally the case, if the issue is resolved (i.e. too wet of soil or whatever), the traps alone can eradicate the bugs. They stay sticky forever so you can keep them in your plants until you are sick of them.

Effective fly trap
Several years back, I had a sudden and unexpected fungus gnat infestation in my house plants, and ever since I've been vigilant about preventing them from returning. These are a helpful tool to that end, but they aren't the ONLY preventative measure I take by any means. These sticky traps work great in conjunction with using things like Gnat Nix and watering with one part hydrogen peroxide to four parts water. I get the occasional gnat here and there now, but the sticky traps definitely help deter them from sticking around. I find the sticky traps also help me see if a particular plant is having bug issues - sometimes it's hard to tell where exactly the gnats are congregating. I like the butterfly shape as it looks cute in the pot, though removing the paper on the sticky part can be a bit fiddly. I also trim the edges of the stake part so that they slide down along the edge of my plant pots more easily. These are definitely a great thing to have on hand if you are like me and have dozens of house plants to care for.
