Good for holding small things.
They're clear film canisters. What can I tell you. The cap comes off. The cap goes on. It holds things. Like my ear plugs. I've used one so far. I'm sure I'll find a use for the rest when the opportunity arises.

Happy these canisters are still being made!
For anyone who remembers, before digital cameras, all photos were on film, typically 35mm film. 35mm film came in canisters. You take the photos, then send the film in to be developed and processed into printed pictures. The processors didn't want the canisters, so you ended up with one very nice canister per film roll. These canisters were perfect containers for all sorts of things — screws, paper clips, overnight medications for a trip, etc.I remember when digital photography started to take hold, and film made a rapid decline. I had a few film canisters, but knew they wouldn't be enough and dreaded when I'd run out. Astonishingly, the film canisters were so useful and in such sufficient demand that manufacturers continued to produce them! This canister is roughly the same as vintage canisters. Comparing to a vintage Fuji film canister, the only significant difference I can find is that this canister has a clear body, whereas the Fuji canister has a more milky translucent body. I'd probably prefer this clear canister. I hope these canisters continue to be made. They are so functional and useful!

So many uses
Can't believe I have gotten along without these little canisters in my life. They are sturdy, the lid snaps on securely but is easy to remove. So far I loaded one up with quarters for parking meters to store in my console. Another one has some mints in it. I might turn one into a mini travel first aid kit with a few bandages and some aspirin. Maybe even make a small travel sewing kit. Definitely going to fill a few more with spices and take them on my camping trips to elevate my cooking. I think I need to buy some more.
