Fine spread
Ran across a recipe from Jacques Pepin using this spread. Mix it with a bit of rum, put it into a martini glass over a crumbled biscotti, and then cover it with whipped cream and some glazed violets. A real winner.

The very best chestnut purée.
This is the very best chestnut purée if this is what you are looking for.I make a kind of chestnut mousse with a tin of the purée, about 1/2 cup sour cream and a cup of heavy cream, whipped. Fold together gently and refrigerate for a couple of hours before eating.Very rich and delicious.

Dented can
I donât know whether it was as-is or due to poor packaging/mishandling, but I received my can with several dents. Theyâre slight dents, but I donât want to take the risk of poisoning anyone by using it. Worst of all, canât even get a refund or replacement.

Sweet and smooth
I was seduced by article that mentioned how amazing this product was.The flavor is mild and sweet. I didn't think it was distinctive enough to justify the price. It is delightfully smooth and spreads well on the toast.I am glad I tried but it is not interesting enough to try again.

Too sweet for me. Plus it came in a can instead of a jar.
It is a very sweet chestnut spread. The texture is more like a jam. For me it is too sweet but if you like sweet things like dates for example you might love this. Also a bit pricey, especially it came packed in a can, which makes it feel cheap and tacky. For this price and size you would expect a better presentation.
