Eggy sulphur smell is to be expected
I read many reviews before deciding on this brand of black salt. Some people complain about the sulphur smell and the eggy taste...but that's what makes black salt unique. It has a specific flavor profile and when blended well with your dish, it will provide an unmistakeable umami. I'm enjoying it immensely.In fact, I was hoping to add some neem to my daily intake and neem is very bitter. However, I came up with a recipe that makes the neem more palatable and it's crazy how it works together. I get 2-3 boiled eggs sliced into four portions apiece and top them with less than an eighth of a teaspoon of black salt...probably more like one-sixteenth a teaspoon, and one-half a teaspoon of neem powder, topped with sauerkraut or kim chi, and some pepitas. With the added funk, fermentation and crunch, the bitter neem stands no chance of standing out. It's a healthy breakfast. I'm so glad to have figured this out.

Perfect for tofu scramble among other dishes
This black salt has a distinct sulfur smell that perfectly gives the taste of egg in tofu scramble. I appreciate the large bag it comes in, as it prevents any breakage and spillage. The price is also reasonable considering the quantity.

Could not find this product anywhere else but here!
I could not find this black salt anywhere else besides Amazon. Came across this brand and decided to try it out. I am very happy with the quality and benefits. Has a little smell to it, but I think it’s normal since it’s flavorful. It’s a pink colored salt and it is very fine. We use this a lot for tofu scramble.

Tasty but clumps
I got this salt for the "eggy" taste, and therefore knew it would smell like sulfur. I, personally, don't mind it. I've come to like it, even.I initially used this to make vegan deviled potatoes, which were fantastic! Then I tried using this instead of my pink salt on my avocados and it was just like eating an egg! I've mostly used this salt (instead of my pink salt) since I've bought it. I love it!The downside: it is a powder with no anti-caking agents, so it does clump up, which makes using salt-shakers a no-go, as it seems to plug the holes. I've just resorted to using a spoon or my fingers.

A Vegan Essential for Me!
As a Vegan we do not use or eat eggs. Therefore, when making Potato, Pasta or Faux-Tuna Salad it is essential. When making a Tofu Scramble it provides an essential element of taste.It keeps well and is easy to use.This is a repeat purpose for me.

Good quality black salt
Black salt gives the taste of eggs to vegan items such as tofu so I alwasy use it when making vegan eggs or omelets. It doesn't take much so a bagful lasts a long time. I keep some in a spice jar in my spice cabinet and keep the rest tightly sealed in the bag until I need to refill the spice jar.

I just used this for the first time and it does what it says. It definitely has an egg smell for your dishes you need that for.
