The bass is playable right from the box. It is clear that someone took the time to time it perfectly before shipping. The frets are smooth. Typically I remove the frets immediately upon acquisition, however, I don't need to remove them at all. Easy to tune. Strings are great quality. The size is perfect. I can play publicly without issues as well as at home laying in bed. The weight is perfect for me and I can lift it one handed. The paint job was done excellently with quality paint. Looks and feels like a million bucks. After paying playing fretless bass for half a century, I tend to be incredibly picky and critical. For me to say it's great and playable from the box speaks volumes for how great this bass really is.

Very surprised and i have another full size 6 string Glarry... Only a small area of a rough spot on neck and one marring on the body that can not be seen unless you feel around. The neck can be sanded a bit because it is unfinished. Over all a very very nice intrurment and I support it for learners and novice players.

For a cheap bass it works great! Fits my 10 year old well too. A tip I wish I would have known early on, if you need new strings, standard or short scale won't fit. From what I read online look at 9 string guitar sets.

Liked that it was affordable, came with nice accessories and it’s roughly the side of a baritone ukulele. Liked that the strings were suitable and it didn’t take more than 10 minutes to adjust the string height and intonation to within 99% of pitch.Didn’t like the included gigbag but it fits nicely in a small guitar gigbag and didn’t need to change any parts. It almost fits in a regular backpack so you might want to experiment with other backpacks before buying another one. 😎🎸

This is a great little short scale bass. I don't know how Glarry does it. This is the 3rd bass I've bought from them & the quality is amazing. I highly recommend this company. I'm not a beginner & I know a good instrument. ☆☆☆☆☆ plays great, pickup sounds excellent. Tuners stay tuned. No sharp frets. Get one you won't be sorry.
