The first charger I received was used. (I blame Amazon on that one.) It was in good shape but not properly packaged and had a few scratches, but nothing bad. The screen protector that comes from the factory was still on it, and it looked badly scratched up. I thought it was the main screen so I ordered a replacement.While waiting for the replacement, I used it to charge my batteries. That's when I discovered that the scratches on the screen were the result of someone's failed attempt to remove the protective plastic cover. I tried, as well, and gave up.This is super easy to use. There are two buttons to set - Charging rate and battery type.It charges between 2 and 25 amps, just choose the one for your battery and choose your battery type.Plug the charger into the battery and plug in the charger. It automatically chooses 12 or 24 volts to charge.The screen protector on the replacement unit had a piece of pull-tape to remove it, but I had to find a much stickier tape that would actually pull the protector off. It is a soft plastic and easily scratches. The scratches look bad, but they are just the screen protector. I did get it off and it has a more glossy look and hard surface on the face.

It works, but even when set for LiFePO4 batteries, it goes into Desulfate mode for a few minutes first. Also, when setting it for a higher amperage, it starts off lower and steps up. The charger works, it just works weird and wastes time in my opinion. I have not yet tested it on 24v batteries, just 12v.

Charging cables get "warm" when used at full capacity."DES" (Desulfation) displays whether using lead acid OR LiFePo batteries.I don't think this charger actually knows what type of "charging" is actually required.

Wonderful charger. Use it every day for the last six months or so.

This NVWA Car battery charger has a wide variety of settings to charge many different kinds of batteries from car and RV batteries to motorcycle and lawn equipment batteries. The setting button is very easy to select the right Amp setting for the type of battery you are charging. I really like the built in chord reel on the back of the unit as well.Its seven stage automated charging system is said to protect your battery from overcharging. At first inspection I thought the spring loaded charging connectors looked on the small side but they were actually perfect for charging my car battery. Their relative light weight is a virtue because they do not twist or fall off due to their own weight like can happen with massive spring loaded connectors. The overall fit and finish of this unit is very impressive and appears to be of a very nice quality. My battery topped off its charge quickly and I quickly wound up the charger cord and was all done. If you are charging a completely dead battery it can take hours and if you want to go easy on your battery you can set the amp charge setting lower and leave the charger on overnight and let the unit stop charging when it is finished.I am very impressed with this charger and I also really like the handle which makes toting it around really easy. I would order this product again.

It is difficult to review a product without a decent instruction manual. I don't know enough about cars/bikes to muddel through it. I had my son assist me. We tried it on his bike and it seems to work ok. I just wish I could understand more of its features.Cords are on the thinner side which makes me question if they are made to last.Readout display is colorful and easy to read.

Item arrived well packaged in a colorful retail box. I see other reviews complaining about the poor manual. That is indeed correct, the manual is poor but it does have one. This charger is pretty straight forward and offers easily identifiable icons for the various battery types. If you need a manual to tell you why you need to select the battery type and what each type is/does then a battery charger might be a tool beyond your scope.I found it very easy to use without opening the manual. It even does de-sulfate. I also like that there are plastic lugs on the side of the case to give you a place to clip/store the battery leads.
