Compact dual-slot CF express B XQD and SD card reader
Appears to be a well-made piece of equipment (metal). No long-term assessment yet, but tested and works fine.Compact and light, good for travelling. Some makes have an integral magnet to attach to a laptop, I felt one of those would be bad news for hotel key cards and possibly credit cards. This reader is free of an attachment magnet.

Handy little multi card reader
I got this to replace my aging Kingston card reader that was having an intermittent read error. This card reader, on Windows 11, sets up straight out of the box - no messing around with drivers. This is a completely plastic device and therefore quite lightweight which makes it convenient for carrying around in a laptop bag.I say laptop bag as I feel this is best suited for use with a laptop due to the short USB cable which unfortunately is hard wired to the main unit. A nice bonus with this reader compared to my previous one is that this has extra USB ports. It seemed to perform as per expectations with read/write speeds - it's never going to be blindingly fast due to card and port limitations but it certainly wasn't slower than my previous reader. If you're in need of something like this then this is worth considering, I've docked 1 star due to the cable length and being hard wired but other than that it's a solid device.

Great multi-card reader
The 8-in-2 USB3.0 Multi Card Reader Hub arrived in a zip-lock bag inside the outer cardboard envelope.I got the card reader to sit on my desktop, and I like the fact that it has a relatively long connection cable, and the ability to read a large range of card types. The connection plug also converts from USB C to USB A for those who don’t have the former. Since I started using it just over a month ago it has worked reliably and I have found it much easier than the stick I was having to unplug from the back of the hub that is built in to the back my monitor to insert a card - and well worth the desktop real estate that it takes up to remove that hassle.

Better than the stick versions that bend in the side of your laptop!
After getting a new micro SD card for storage recently, this is now my second USB card reader I've had in the last few weeks to use with it and this version is by far the better option out of the two. This style has a short cable running from the main unit, which is so much better, whereas the first one I tried was the USB stick reader style. What I found with the stick style reader, even though I initially thought it looked more compact than this type, is that:a) it was quite bulky and covered over the next USB slot along, reducing my available ports, andb) even though it was light, it was long and it bent (with gravity) as it stuck out the side, which I could only think would eventually wreck the portI quickly gave up using the stick kind and this is what brought me to this wired version instead. It's very light, it fits snuggly and securely into the USB A port as planned and it has a whole range of potential card styles it will read from/write to. Speeds for this are good. What's more, it also acts as a USB hub as there are spare ports on this, so you're not losing anything by connecting through one to use it, you're actually gaining some! Good stuff.Another great feature is that the USB A connector comes apart to reveal a USB C connector underneath, so it's 2 in 1 design. Very clever, and I'll certainly be happy to make use of this with the spare USB C space I have on my laptop if needed (I just prefer things plugged in on the right due to my desk setup, which is where the USB A slots are).I have to say I would have preferred the reader to totally take in the micro SD card so nothing was sticking out at the side if possible, but this was a feature I was aware of before ordering so it isn't something I'd take a star away for in a review. All in all, a very decent little multi-card reader that I'm very happy with.

A compact card reader with lots of ports
This card reader is a veritable multitool with just about every type of popular memory card covered. On the end of the 30cm lead there is a captive adaptor giving you the ability to use USB-C or USB-A to connect to a device and this expands its capability even further.Having a couple of USB-A ports on the card reader means that you don't even loose a USB-A port on your device, you actually gain one.The card reader is constructed entirely from plastic but it feels robust and looks professional, the cable has very securely moulded ends adding to the quality look and feel.Testing on a windows PC the card reader is recognised immediately and all the cards I tried were recognised straight away.Data transfer rates seemed very good with photos on SD cards loading up rapidly.Overall, a great memory card ready which covers plenty of formats and looks good quality.

good USB to MacBook keyboard solution
Provides a means of connecting peripherals to a MacBook - keyboard, mouse etc, in addition to the many format card reader.Lightweight and a bit larger than others it is a straightforward device that everyone at some time could probably make use of, even temporarily.
