Probably my favourite Clash album, although it's a compilation. Lots of really great songs.

Worthy Addition To The Clash Collection
So you have all the Clash's studio albums, you even shelled out your hard earned wonga for 'Cut The Crap' because you couldn't resist 'This Is England', plus it completed the set. So where do you go from here? The Shea Stadium live recording is a cool live album but you're not getting anything truly new. This is where this excellent compilation comes into focus, a collection of singles and b-sides, many difficult to find, all conveniently placed onto my favourite sonic medium, the humble cd. From the frantic '1977' to a dub of 'Bank Robber', you can hear the musical journey these boys took and it's a mightily pleasurable experience. What comes through from the start of The Clash's recording career is that for my money I believe they are most responsible for kickstarting the punky reggae party. That aspect of the band is in evidence here with a few dubs of well known track and a splendid cover of Toots And The Maytals 'Pressure Drop'.You can pick up a brand new copy for around £3 and with over 20 tracks you're getting a great value release, especially considering that whilst there are a couple of tracks that aren't exactly essential, the vast majority are. If you have the albums, this is a most worthwhile addition, plus it has what may well be the coolest cover picture ever, a shot of mighty dread Don Letts facing off a multitude of Her Majesty's boys in blue, like the music within, perfect.
