A major advantage of this camera is the ability to install in a completely random hard-to-reach place. This is made possible by elimination of wiring, making installation incredibly flexible. Another nice feature is the ability to install your own MicroSDXC card to provide local storage.This camera, much like many other AOSU cameras I have, provides clear, high-resolution video, especially at night (color night vision), which is a critical function to me.Also worth mentioning is the accurate motion detection, and especially human or vehicle detection, that reduces false alarms. This makes this setup is a non-brainer for me. This particular camera seems to work really well with partial sun exposure, and that is also a big plus as my installation doesn't provide sun in the late afternoon.Please note:1. You MUST have strong Wi-Fi signal to get reliable operation;2. Cold temperatures affect charge speed. That being said, the charge is sufficient to provide reliable winter operation in the NE US. This is not specific to this product, but rather is an attribute of the batteries (look up EV cold weather charging issues!)TLDR: A nice reliable product for those that have no wiring at the outdoor camera location. Recommended.

This is a great security camera. It has excellent sharp images, and so many features like audio, illumination which is great at nighttime (see photos), and best of all, the built-in solar power source. No wires, cables, or even separate solar panel to install, making this a clean and professional looking device. No need to remove to charge batteries and also, no monthly storage charges with the mircoSD card which can store a ton of videos for playback. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good camera that is easy to install, clean looking, and no monthly fees. This company makes great cameras. The App is excellent as well.

The SolarCam stands out as an excellent outdoor security camera, offering 4K Ultra HD video quality and intelligent motion detection. Set up was super easy. Wifi and solar power are a must in my situation, and both seem to work great.I purchased one camera to test it out and ordered 2 more within a couple days and I'm about to order a 4th. However, with each camera, the cloud service increases in price. I've been hesitant to get the 4th camera and incur this additional cost. But with each additional camera, I just turned them on and the app found them and they were instantly added and online. Nothing could be easier.The app settings could be more intuitive. While in the settings it shows all the features are "enabled", however they may not be turned on. Solar charger isn’t strong enough to keep the camera charged. You will have to take it down every few weeks to charge it. Not even the Florida sun keeps it charged. Good luck other States!

I have been using this security camera for the past a week or so. The installation is easy, there is only 4 screws. Overall the camera performance is really well. I like the ultra wide screen view (130 degrees). The night view is also very clear even in low light situation. It doesn't have internal memory, but there is a micro SD card slot. This could make the video playback a bit slow depending how far your camera is to your wifi. The charging is very quick, the spot where I installed the camera gets ~ 2-3 hours of direct sun light, which is more than enough to take 20-30 shots a day and the battery percentage still shows 100% by the sunset. On the app there is also an option to configure AI Surveillance for pets, people, cars or any moving object in particular areas. There is no subscription or monthly fees. I have different kinds of security cameras in my house but I can say the build quality and performance of this camera is top notch.
