iLIVING ILG8SF7V Shutter Exhaust Fan, 7" - Variable, Silver

I had a heat/humidity problem in a commercial building at the top of a stairwell and purchased this 7 inch fan would be enough to alleviate some of the problem. Works fine, summertime heat went down a few degrees and the humidity level dropped significantly which is exactly what I was looking for. A bigger fan probably would work a little better but would produce more noise. As per the instructions, it needs the 8.5x8.5 inch square hole going outside, 8.25x8.25 probably won't do it. Nice and quiet and I don't even know it is running unless I look at it though the sound might be more noticeable in an environment that is normally very quiet. Seems to be well built with minimal flexing. I'll probably buy another for a different project.

Fantastic exhaust fan! Was frying food and odor and smoke built up in kitchen after putting this fan up above door into garage it has stopped that problem! Can’t believe how good it works!!

Installed in 10x12 foot shed, 7 foot walls. Big reduction in temperature. Temps without fan, was around 18 degrees warmer than outside (sun), with fan, roughly 10 degree higher +/_. Its quiet, minimal vibration. Louvers don't close tight with fan not running, but for aluminum shutters and small size, what one expect. But happy with it. Fan needs to be wired, only hot and neutral wire, instructions show using a ground wire, so 3 wire cord needed. Just run ground under screw holding a plate on motor.

I have purchased two of these in 2 years and they both work great. Well built and easy to frame into whatever your setup requires.

Fan works fantastic but shudders stick up and don’t come down properly

I installed this in the small attic area above my garage where there is no insulation and the area gets very hot. What I like is the small size, fan cage and quality construction. Only dislike is the very small compartment you have to connect the wires inside the unit. VERY SMALL. Otherwise it comes on as the area gets warm and turns off in the evening. Perfect!

Nice size for my 12X16 shed. Couldn’t find anything similar at the big box stores. To install one must be capable to hardwire since it does not come with a cord. Runs smooth and quiet. Seems to be good quality. Must build a box with 2X6s to allow flaps to open and close if you mount on an inside wall . Then a vent cover on the outside of the building to complete the project to keep the critters and rain out.

Very happy with motor and draw. Noise was minimal. Easy to hook up to electric timer switch. Connector box could have been a little larger but this fan is nice and compact.
