Premium Quality Camp Knife you’re going to love!
ST12 vs ST12 Plus. A single picture when buying a knife can be deceiving and leave you with disappointment when it arrives. I ordered the ST12(without reading the description, lol) because I loved the shape, until I got it and realized, meh, not what I hoped for. I forced myself to utilize it. First chance to use it was field dressing and breaking down a deer. Shockingly took me 1/3 the time to complete it. I never needed to touch up the edge. Afterwards, I used it for a lot of camp and ranch tasks and have developed a love and respect for it. Deep down, I seriously hoped Sitivien would someday release a bigger version so when I saw the PLUS, I had to have it! It’s EXACTLY EXACTLY EXACTLY what I wanted! Here are pictures for comparison of both, the ST12 Plus being the larger knife. I have a lot of Sitivien knives so clearly a fan of quality and value for the money. I recommend them both for overall quality of product including sharpness, blade thickness(refer to pictures) grip fit, and balance. The ST12 weighs 12.4oz which makes it agile for most butchering, feathering and moderate chopping and the ST12 Plus weighs a hefty 18.5oz so it has plenty of mass as a camp knife for chopping. The ST12 is DC53 steel and the ST12 Plus is Slipner steel, both are quality materials.

Great budget beast!
I saw a couple reviews for this knife, looked beefy. And did well in the videos. Its a budget friendly beast! I chopped a couple dead trees down, and batoned a few 4 inch logs,. Knife is sound, edge is still sharp,. Cons . The handle screws came loose pretty fast,. But im gonna get some locktight, and a hex bit that fits ,. So no worries

A must buy for my fellow knife enjoyers.
All I can say is wowza! The strength and chip resistance of modern steel especially with this knife’s sleipner steel has surpassed all my expectations. To all my fellow knife enjoyers this amazing knife from Sitivien is a must. This is one of the few knives that I own that doesn’t need a handle wrap. It fits comfortably in hand (I have large hands) and does not slip or have any hot spots. Thank you Sitivien for this product you honestly have made my dream knife come true. I can’t wait to buy more from this amazing company!

heavy chopper
beast of a knife: great chopper, like the blade. the handle is too large for my hands. have not tried anything heavy so cannot comment on the edge performance

Deserves a much better sheath
This is a heavy knife with a weak sheath. Thin, flexible material. Minimal retention, no strap to back it up. It's too easy to shake or jar the knife loose. I wouldn't take the knife out of the backyard, or trust it to hold onto the knife in the great outdoors.I have the knife shoved down to the butt inside a 12" machete sheath for now. The knife is great, the sheath does not suffice.

Built way above it's pay grade
For the money, this knife is a no brainer. The quality is on point and look much more expensive. I tuned up the edge a bit, but it came sharp from the factory. The blade is a very high saber grind, so it's tough but still slicey for it's size and thickness. I really like the fasteners used on the handles. Super easy to tighten or remove. I did take the scales off with the intent of removing the liners. They are either glued on or molded with the handle so they get to stay. So my only complaint is the swell in the center of the handle. I have medium hands and the swell is just too big. I'll be grinding it down a bit and hoping it doesn't mess up the handle scales! This knife is a great buy and I'll be buying the smaller version too!Edit; I decided to grind some material from the middle to fit my hand better. I used my bench belt sander and ground it with the scales on. After I thinned the middle I also rounded the profile of the scales a bit. The handles stayed tight despite the rough treatment and were pretty easy to shape. I used plain sandpaper to finish the details. I also gave the sharpened edge a mirror polish! Truly this has become one of my favorite knives! Buy one!!

Great deal on a great knife!!!
A serious, working man's knife! If you want a large, heavy duty working knife that you can count on, hold an good edge AND won't break the bank? Then the ST-12 PLUS is it!!! It's a knife, a hatchet, a machete, a log splitter, feather sticker you name it. It's got heft, not light or small but, it's as close to a one tool option that I have found it out to be! Got one for my son who's an avid saltwater fisherman who needs a sturdy, low maintenance, dependable blade! I seriously doubt anyone that buys this knife, will walk away disappointed. Great deal on a great knife!

This 2nd Generation ST12 is a home run
I thought the original ST12 was a good knife that performs well, but the one nagging issue with that knife was the handle thickness - it just felt too narrow for even average sized hands. The ST12 Plus fixes that and more, quality control is spot on with excellent sharpness. Excellent sheath, I’ll update after field testing - but it looks and feels great.
