Excellent item but I take a size 7 and the item sold for sizes 5-8 did not fit. It was too small. I would recommend buying the next size up.

I bought these to put over walking boots for walking on ice and slippy snow. Tried twice on v short walks in ice/minimal snow near home then went out for a walk up a country hill - in icy condition. Mid-walk, about 30 minutes in - a slender rubber 'strap' (one of the ones with the spiral metal around) - snapped on both of the Yaktrax. So clearly they are not fit for purpose. Part of the problem may be that the size 5-8 was a tight fit over my size 6 uk walking boots so maybe the rubber was too stretched - or that rubber is weakened by sub-zero temperatures. Either way I am annoyed - especially as Amazon will not accept return - I will contact the seller see what they say....

Bought these for a winter hike up Snowdon - couldn't have been happier with them! As we got towards the summit, we found that the snow had fallen thick and fast overnight - these yaktraks were incredible - really gripped in the snow and made it a very easy ascent! would definitely recommend!!

Did not state that size does not meet standard sizes. Size must be circumference round boot, therefore ours well far too small and of no use. It was also stated could not return for refund. Not amused.

Although these are quite difficult to put on, (top tip - put them on the shoes before putting your feet in the shoes) they do the trick. I have used them for both walking and running, and once you get used to the slightly odd feeling, they're fine.

These are fab. Give a good grip in ice and snow. Highly recommend especially to those who are not keen walking in snow. Have had some for years.

I never go out without them on, when it's snow or ice, I feel safer when walking to work, thank you to the maker of these, I even tell friends to get these, Chris.f.
