Q: How many plungers and tips included in this?

One plunger included but each container has its own tip. You only need the plunger to help push product forward once you can no longer push it with your finger. To be clear, you never touch the product in the tube, you just push on the plastic bottom. I used one drop every 12 inches along their path, not on top of them. Very easy to use and the best part is that it works like a miracle to kill ants! It’s been 5 months and not an ant in sight!

Q: In what states can OptiGuard be purchased without a pest control license?

Every state is different, but federally this is not a restricted use pesticide. So as far as the US EPA is concerned there should be no license requirement. If you want to be doubly sure, contact your pesticide lead agency for your state (Usually in the department of agriculture). Some of these products state they are "for professional use only" but that is a marketing decision that the pest control industry supports. There is nothing legally binding with that terminology.

Q: Does this bait kill the colony also? Is it pet friendly?

It will kill the whole colony. Best way to apply is in a water bottle or soda cap. Can put it on a surface, let ants eat it, when ants are all gone in two or three days can dispose of the cap.
