this is a great book for someone who wants to understand the fundamentals of sketching. This was a gift for an aspiring artist, and she is super duper happy with it. very good tool! She says the book is easy to understand and she is already applying some of the principles discussed in the book.

Very appropriate for any beginning artist.
I am using this for a gifted fifth grader. The lessons are typical of high school art classes. They follow a logical order to build skill and confidence in drawing.

Not very good
This book tried to give you an oceans wide intro to most art techniques in a hundred pages. Everything is in this book, humans, animals, landscapes, painting and drawing….Not focused.Returned.
