Works, Cover non-work surfaces because it's messy
I used this to remove fairly deep scratches from my windshield. I used it with an orbital buffer and wool pad, and kept spraying clean water on the work surface whenever it dried out. It worked so well on my windshield that I did every other window on the car. It's labor intensive, but you can do small windows by hand with microfiber cloths as long as the scratches are not too deep. The glass looks new. It took me about 2-3 hours to do a rather large windshield.Tape up all non-work surfaces because the slurry is going to get everywhere. Mix powder with clean water until you get a thin slurry. It's going to take hours, and successive goings-over to make your glass perfect, but it's worth it.

A little goes a long way.
This product has done what I couldn’t do with any other methods I tried. It took scratches and water stains off my glass that is in my garage door. With the glass horizontal, I would sprinkle about 1/2 teaspoon on the glass then use a water bottle to spray water on it. Then using a 2” felt pad on a pneumatic rotary tool work it in until I got the desired result. Really happy with it.

Unbelievable Results!
After reading the reviews, I was skeptical as to whether or not this would remove a 1 1/2" scratch from my glass coffee table. The scratch was deep enough to stop my fingernail when moving across it back & forth. I also purchased the Cerium Oxide Felt Polishing Wheel recommended in combination with this product. It took my husband approximately 2 1/2 hrs and I'm thrilled that the scratch is entirely gone. Previous reviews said that it only would work on light surface scratches, but I'm here to report just the opposite. If you're diligent and willing to invest the time, it really does remove deep scratches. The felt polishing wheel is a must in order to get the result you're looking for. I spent $37.00 in total. To replace the extra large beveled table glass would have cost $500.00. The risk was definitely worth the reward...

Worked better than expected.
I had awful wiper haze and two heavy scratches on the windshield of my 1965 Ford Galaxie. I decided to give this a try vs replacing the glass. It wasn't easy, but the results were far better than I ever expected. It's incredibly messy too. I would certainly recommend to anyone that has a worn windshield. My wiper haze was so severe that I could not drive the car at night, nor at dusk. The light refracted so bad it was dangerous to drive. That part of my glass is now great. The two heavy scratches are still there but they are polished smooth so it doesn't bother me. Product works as advertised. I used Groits garage glass polishing pads on my 3in air powered buffer. I think using a drill would make the job take longer. I spent about 3 hours in with prep and cleanup.

Works on minor defects.
I bought this to polish out wiper blade marks on a 2002 Honda Accord Windshield with 185k miles on original glass. The driver's side wiper had over time worn in wiper trails/scratches. You can't feel them at all with your finger. However, night time driving or driving into the sun is very distracting. Night time halos from street lights and headlights. Day time sunlight head on turns the windshield white. It definitely reduced this issue, but after 4 hours of work concentrating on about 3.5x2.5 ft area it didn't have the desired effect. Used glass cleaner on the window, followed up with a claybar. Made a thick slurry of media with water and applied using a drill with 3in felt pad and experimented with speed and pressure. I had masked off/tarped the body around the windshield and you can tell where the masking tape prevented the slurry from abrading the surface. The powder just seems too fine to do any defect removal from glass. You'd have to a work a large surface for a VERY long time to get any defect correction done. However, I did find a GREAT use for it. I have an electric range with glass cooking surface. This stuff removes baked on crud with ease (using same felt pad and drill). However, the powder's so fine that any scratches you have will be filled with powder and makes them stick out. You can use automotive clay + water to lift the powder out of these defects though. Also great for restoring luster to household glass that doesn't have deep defects but doesn't look like it used to.

Works well and quickly with a real buffer!
Great stuff and much easier to use than other reviews may lead you to believe. I had a haze of scratches on my 1999 Toyota's driver window and windshield caused by sand in the window felt and wipers. Nothing my fingernail would catch in but I could hear/feel the roughness.Using a 10" random orbit car polisher with foam pad the side window looked new in about ten minutes except for the corners where the pad would not fit. I will have to use a smaller pad for those spots. The windshield looks much better after twenty minutes but could use another 15 or so.I used almost half a lb. and reclaimed about half what I used. It is messy but rinses right off.

the surface looked better. I should probably return to it some day ...
I used this product recently to restore plate glass mirrors in a bathroom where the surface was scratched while attempting to remove wallpaper paste residue. The ensuing use of a scrotch brite cleaning pad severely scratched the surface. Given the location of the scratches, I worked on a vertical surface, so it took longer to remove the scratches due to runoff as I applied the paste. I used a cordless right angle drill. It took a few hours (lots of deep scratches) but eventually, the surface looked better. I should probably return to it some day because there are still a few deeper scratches, but they are less noticeable. The product works well, just remember that it is a slow process and will take a considerable amount of time to achieve a perfectly polished surface if the flaws are deep.

Useless and damaging
Used with a dual action polisher and glass polishing pad. Followed instructions to a T. After 10 minutes on a 1x2 area, showed very minimal signs of improvement. Worse yet, even with taping rubber seals, it stained the rubber. Also, couldn't get into corners well at all with the polisher. Makes a huge mess. Probably won't use it again since I discovered Glasweld. More expensive, but worked like a charm.
