Great quality!
This is a great quality awning that we secure to our pergola for some shade! The red is a great color, too!

great replacement cover
We had an older model that had a retractable cover. This cover was able to be easily modified to fit and give our pergola a few more years.

Nice, but not as much shade as I was used to
Looks well built, but has some areas where it fell short of the original that came on my pergola from Sears/Lowe’s. This replacement filters out SIGNIFICANTLY less light, making it brighter and warmer underneath it. The ties are attached to the fabric while the originals tie to the rod. This doesn’t allow for the fabric to fold under the rod when you want one side shorter without the other becoming longer. I fished my old ties out of the trash and used them. This is a universal replacement that covers many models, so I’m not really upset that it’s about 8” narrower than the pergola was built for, this just means less shade. Next time I will be looking for a model closer to the original, primarily for a thicker material.Update: after a few weeks I’m even less happy with the product. Because of the thinner material, the fabric slides completely to one side in even the slightest breeze or touch. You can’t have both sides half down for long, it will draw all to one side. The original fabric was thicker and resisted the weight of the rod more successfully.

o( Fortunately, I went directly to the Garden Winds web ...
After I ordered this, I received an e-mail notice from Amazon that this item was no longer available. :o(Fortunately, I went directly to the Garden Winds web site (www.gardenwinds.com), and was able to order it directly from the company -- same price, with ALL of the different color options available to choose from!! I was very happy to be able to replace the pergola cover. It fits well and looks great, just as the original cover did. I like the little grommet holes to allow for water drainage, although I still have to go out there after a rain and use a broom handle to work the water puddles to the edges to drain it off. So, I give Garden Winds a rating of ★★★★★!! :o)

Don't like the grommet holes
The product was changed from the original design, with the addition of grommets which I suppose are for drainage and wind. However, I liked that the original design was continuous fabric and didn't drain over my seating area.

Replacement for my used pergola frame
Update 06/16/2017: Well, it's toast. We had a storm last night and it ripped two of the four ties right off the canopy. So, three of the ties are now ripped off. For $80 and less than one year of use, I'd say avoid this one!Update 05/02/17: well one year later, the canopy looks like crap. It's stained on top and looks quite dirty. And just today, one of the ties ripped off from high winds. Based on the cost, wear and tear after one year, I cannot recommend purchasing this item. It was $80 when I bought it last year, now it's $100.------------------------------------------------Original review, summer 2016: I got the pergola frame and rods used off of Craigslist a few weeks ago. The original canopy had been destroyed, but the guy said replacement canopies could be had online. I was a little shocked to see they cost $80! And, it didn't include the rods.I ordered the canopy and put it on - it fit perfectly. The material is the same kind of stuff they use in outdoor umbrellas. I thought it would be a little thicker/sturdier, but it's somewhat thin. So, for $80, you just get the canopy - nothing else. There are ties on each of the corners. After about one week, one of the grommets popped off, so I returned it in exchange for another. The grommets do not really help with the whole pooling of water on the canopy issue. The water just pools elsewhere and does not drain through the holes. The weight rods fit in this replacement canopy, so that's a bonus. No issues there.I just think for the price and quality, this isn't that great of a product. I fully expect this item to last less than two years.
