Triple-bill of Westerns from the great Italian director, Sergio Leone. 'A Fistful of Dollars' (1964) is a remake of the Kurosawa classic 'Yojimbo' and features Clint Eastwood in his first big-screen starring role. Laconic gunslinger the Man With No Name (Eastwood) makes a financial killing by playing two feuding families off each other in a small Southwestern town. In 'For a Few Dollars More' (1965), the Man With No Name reluctantly joins forces with bounty hunter Colonel Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef) to battle psychotic bandit El Indio (Gian Maria Volonte) and his gang of outlaws. Finally, 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' (1966) forms the final part of the trilogy that brought Eastwood to Hollywood's attention. During the American Civil War, the paths of three loners - Joe (Eastwood), Tuco (Eli Wallach) and Setenza (Lee Van Cleef) - cross as they search for the grave of Bill Carson, home to a hidden fortune. As the war intensifies, the treasure seekers become drawn into a battle that dwarfs their own mercenary pursuits.

3 of the greatest films ever made .
Ok so the argument has raged for years over if this a trilogy or not . But at the end of the do we really care ? I've read so reviews which talk about the picture quality not being improved and the sound not being improved . If they had done those things they would have ruined these films . Look what's happened to Star Wars as an example of how things really should have been left alone .What your getting is 3 of the greatest westerns in one box just how you remember watching them the very first time you watched them and loved them .

A brilliant buy!
I like the spaghetti westerns very much and when I received the triple box of previously owned dvds I wouldn't have known they were not new because they were in excellent condition. I am delighted with my purchase.

A MUST HAVE MOVIE COLLECTION FOR CLINT FANS
Excellent movies of course. Only a slight problem; first DVD in the series is clearly very old and so is the quality of the film. As you get to the 3rd and final DVD the quality improves dramatically. All in all, totally happy customer.

Clint at his best.....as always.
The films that turned Rowdy Yates into the 'man with no name' and made Eastwood a byword for tough. If you saw these films as a kid then you need to see them again now. "Sorry, that's four coffins" LOLOLOL

Still Great
Although these films were made many years ago they still grab your attention - from the amazing camerawork to the unforgettably original misic score. I never tire from watching these movies - they dont make them like that anymore.
