Why is the battery’s expiration date scratched out with a Sharpie?
The battery works in my Seiko SBBN007 dive watch. Minus one star for the expiration date of the battery being scratched out with a Sharpie. I’d really like to know if the battery I’m installing is fresh or if it will die soon after installation.Edit: this battery died after a couple months in my watch. A fresh battery should last 5 years in this watch. Thankfully our local ACE Hardware had them in stock, and the expiration date showed that it was a fresh battery. Watch has been ticking away for several months now.
