Better than Evergreen Complete?
I have had excellent results using the Elixir Gardens Lawn Sand and even now in early January the grass is still in great condition and has maintained the lush green colour.I've uploaded 4 pictures - one is in Summer, one in Autumn and two in Winter (Jan 7th) so you can see how good the lawns look.I live in the North East of England so we generally have much lower temperatures than in the South so anyone living down there has no excuse for having a bad lawn when lawn sand is available.....As far as application goes I used a small plastic trowel to throw the sand on as a fine dust during a calm day and it was quite easy to get the coverage without any noticeable patches which had been missed. It took a while to apply by hand but the treatment has lasted a good 3 months from early October until today (7th January).Before that it was early spring last year when it was applied so it's really only needed once every 6 months or so making it a very cheap treatment to use.Moss was killed effectively although I did use extra sand in areas containing moss and buttercup to ensure that it was eliminated with a single treatment - maybe I was lucky but I didn't get any areas of scorch or blackness except where the weeds were and those areas were raked and re-seeded to good effect.However, I did get a couple of areas on my patio where I'd spilled a small amount of lawn sand and that stained a very noticeable rusty iron colour - nothing major but I will be more careful next time.I'd definitely recommend this lawn sand to anyone wanting an effective treatment to keep their lawns looking in great condition with minimal effort.

The best.
I have been treating my lawn for over 25 years and this is by far the best moss killer and grass feeder I have ever had. Starts to work as soon as a little rain comes, moss killed off and grass comes very green in a few days.

Product ok delivery not
Product is good, delivery came 2 days early either no notification and as a result nobody was in and 2 packs were left by our bins in Full display of the road.on a day when rain was imminent. These are not cheap, fortunately I checked the video doorbell and was able to get someone to move them within the hour.

Do not apply when rain is imminent, during drought, or in freezing conditions. Keep off treated area for four weeks for grazing animals. Children and pets can use the treated areas once the product has been watered in.

That normally takes a good 2-4 weeks but depends on weather.\nI've used lawn sand or evergreen complete at the same time as over seeding (after scarifying) but I think it works better to wait a while.\nIf you treat with lawn sand then scarify there will be quite a bit of lawn sand dragged out and mixed in with the scarified material removed from the lawn so it will be no good to add to compost heap."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"I want to use this lawn sand to help with moss removal. However seeding and fertilizing resulted in complete recovery.
