Hero's Edge G-L09 Latex Rubber Foam Double Blade Battle Axe Larp

This is a great foam axe. My son plays with it almost daily and its been holding up pretty well.

When the kid who asks for nothing asks for a Viking axe for Christmas - you get him this and he LOVES it. Who knew?

The blade seems a little small but my kid likes it. It holds up better than another one made by the same company (see picture).

Excellent value. Needs a tiny bit of breaking in if you're using it for sparing or LARP, but softens up nicely. Looks good at a distance, if not perfect up close.

Bought this axe to be a gift for our kid who has a small collection of polypropylene swords. We couldn't find an axe and I stumbled on this. I'm pretty disappointed, I'm not sure why but I was not expecting the axe head to be so small. It is also really light. That may be what some people like but it has such little weight that it feels cheap. I would say it's not worth more than $15. The handle is comfortable but I can't see this being used for anything more than display.

Great for our Camp Memaw and Grandaddy a la Knights earlier this summer. Best news is that our campers could pretend and not really hurt or kill each other as they practiced wielding their medieval weapons.

I don't mean to be a stickler or anything - especially on an item with a generally "great" rating - but maybe the shipping for this had an off day. With me, of course. (Everyone else seemed to get the item okay and show pictures too. I have NO idea what to think of this.)Anyway, getting to the points and making this short - as I have shown pictures - the product came in a bag that was completely dusty/grimy alongside the clear, clean bag of another item within the box. At first, I thought this was to add effect to the item. But then, the actual axe itself was faded, deflated, warped looking, very dirty and overall looked like it had been taken out of the ground and shipped. (It must have been sitting somewhere way, way, way back in a warehouse? For ages? It even has caked dirt on it...)I gave this item 1/5 stars where it really deserves a 2/5. Why I did this was because it arrived on time, of all things. Which is good, I'm glad the delivery service at least held its end! But this is just insulting in several ways. I just scratch my head and wonder who in the heck thought it was in good condition to send off. I'm honestly shocked. Will be returning. (And I hate to give this a 1/5 when everyone seemed to like it. I just am posting this review to alert people, this could happen. This was all weird.)
