Went to buy a predator 212 off of fb marketplace and it wouldn't start when I met with the seller. The engine was brand new, it had sat with gas in the tank for 6 mos so I figured the carb was clogged/dirty. Bought engine anyways because I've bought carbs from Amazon before. Got home, 30 mins later (removed old carb, installed new, drained old oil and fuel, filled with new).• Pulled start rope 1 time - No startOoops forgot to turn to ON• Pulled 1 time - Engine started and ran perfectly fine for the 10 min test I was looking for.Mechanics hate on carbs from online and say "I wouldn't buy that junk, it's from China, you should clean the jets on the old or buy OEM" Yeah right!! Mechanic says that because they charge $100- $175.00 to clean carbs. Well...I would rather buy 5 of the Amazon carbs before ever paying to have carbs released. By the way....EVERYTHING is from China these days. I must be buying from the good neighborhoods in China because every small engine carb that I have bought over the past 7 years has worked flawlessly.Anyways, YES this carb fit and worked Great for the Predator 212 (I'm pretty sure that it would work for others in this class of engines)

Ooo... the darn Ethanol they put in the fuel now messed up my OEM carb on my Harbor Freight Predator engine. I usually run them dry but forgot last season. Upon opening the carb and staring at the corroded insides, it needed a replacement as it was beyond fixing. THIS ONE rescued my $800 machine! The carb kit came with nice quality gaskets and was an easy bolt on. I set the choke and the engine started right up! It was a great find and a very well manufactured part

Don't waste your money and time buying cans of carb clean! For the amount of money it costs to buy a can of carb clean and the has to go to the store, just buy this replacement, take it from me. I spend 30 minutes trying to clean my old one, plus 30 minute trip to the store to buy carb clean and rags. Cleaned the old one, reinstalled it, didn't run right. Tried adjusting the old one to make it idle better, no luck. Went in side and cleaned my hands to jump on Amazon and order a new one... less than 24 hrs later it was at my door and installed in less than 5 minutes. Started right up on 2nd pull and purred like a kitten. Kept the old one for spare parts. I know, I know.... you guys have cleaned carbs before many times and have had lots of success. Me too! Not this time, just buy this and save the headache. BTW, I thought my issues were related to something else other than the carb after cleaning the old one and wanted to start troubleshooting, but the low cost of this one for replacement made me rethink. Glad I bought it, and might buy another to keep in the garage just in case.

Last time I had carb issues I bought a Honda rebuild kit for about $20. Thought I'd try this one when the issue came up again. Arrived in a day, good condition, exact replacement, started up on first pull and ran great (once I remembered to open the choke).Only issue is the idle air mix screw. No documentation with carb. Previous carb was CARB compliant so didn't have the idle screw - so wasn't sure how to adjust. No matter, seemed to work fine as it came out of the box.

Solvled the problem of hard starting and fast idle.

Great product. The chipper now runs as good as it did day 1 or better. I wouldn't know about day 1 cause I bought the chipper for $100 from a guy who said it would start but not run. This part was all it needed. It literally starts on 1st try with only a quarter pull on the rope.

The first time I purchase this item it did not work for me. After farther inspection I notice that the plastic gasket was crack. I am not sure if it was crack before installed it or it happen while I was assembling it. I order another kit. Once I carefully put it together it work fine. If the kit with instruction on the torque procedure this would have been avoided.
