I’ve never used a dehydrator before, I didn’t know such an appliance existed. Attest, not for the home. I’ve given it a good trial, without doubt my favourite has been jerky. Everything I’ve tried has dried evenly, I did swap the racks around for the first couple of times but it wasn’t needed.One thing. You must follow the instructions, such as adding the lemon juice to the water - otherwise the food will go discoloured by the time it’s completed.I checked the energy use, the smart meter showed a rise but nothing major - similar to a slow cooker. It needs to be left working for hours but there was nothing concerning about the energy use or the safety of it.An interesting appliance.
