McVities Penguin 21 Pack

Penguins are the best. If you aren't familiar with this U.K. treat....visualize a chocolate wafer cookie that has been coated in more chocolate. The chocolate is of excellent quality, and the wafers are much better than the ones commonly sold in the U.S.A. Each Penguin is individually wrapped, so the last one is as fresh as the first. (Not that they last very long at my house. Another advantage of the individual packaging, is that you you can give one as a little treat. Another fine product from McVities.

The McVities Penguin 24 Pack are not easy to find in our area. Being Scottish, they are one of our favorite biscuits. My brother and my nephew absolutely love them. I had them sent directly to their home. They arrived sooner than expected and they were fresh and very tasty as we remember them. The price is unbeatable. I will be ordering more for the Holiday season. Thank you.

I HAD A HARD TIME FINDING THESE PENGUIN BARS ON THE ENGLISH SITES. WAS SO HAPPY, I FOUND THEM ON AMAZON. NEXT BEST THING THAN GOING TO THE UNITED KINGDOM, WHICH I WILL BE DOING SOON..

these 'micro version' chocolate bars are a far cry from the 'normal' sized ones i remember getting just a few years ago...:(

I first tried these on an anniversary trip to my Hubby's ancestral home in Northern Ireland. The B&B owner offered us tea upon arrival and left a couple of these on our tray. I fell in love instantly. They are like the British (tastier) version of Laffy Taffy. Corny Penguin jokes on the wrapper, delicious, not overly sweet, chocolate bar inside. When we returned home to our four children, I brought a package for them. They are now a tradition in our house, and I'm happy to see them available here.*not gluten free

Very chocolatey with a crisp biscuit when you bite into them. Kind of like the Australian Tim Tams but in my opinion, better! The biscuits are individually wrapped which means you don't have to worry about opening the package and then eating them up before they go stale. And even though I'm an adult, I HAVE to read the jokes before eating the bar!

These are such good cookies - kind of a novel take on chocolate covered crunchy. I first had them years ago when I was in London. They were sold there just like candy bars. The only place I've seen them since is at Epcot at the England gift shop. Since they were shipped from England in the summer, they sat in our mail box for several hours before I got home - which meant that the chocolate coating was quite melted. I put them in the fridge and have been eating them chilled. They are still very good - not quite as good as the ones that hadn't melted first, but a little cheaper than buying them at Disney.
