Heist (Blu-ray + DVD)

Although very great actors, this movie is about the greater good a father can be. Even if it is too late for him, he still has the ability to prevent further harm, which by all means is a bit cliché however, It is still true.This is a good movie, heartfelt and action, even a twist or two.. and I do wish there was a way to clean up the mess they made. and they should have blown Pope's character to bits, with his casino in the end.. or when he lights that cigarette, but still..Good movie.

I'm not sure where this hospital that is quite literally holding a little girl ransom happens to be but it was an otherwise entertaining flick. Well acted and action packed if predictable. A little unbelievable that a riverboat casino owner is this ruthless murderer but maybe I'm naive? However I give it 4/5 as it does a pretty good job of being what it was supposed to be - straightforward heist movie.Spoilers:A couple more egregious plot points :The swat team scene seemed unrealistic. And I don't think hospitals accept large amounts of cash.

First of all, the movie is called Heist. That's what it is about. Don't expect much from thestory, but that doesn't mean that it's bad. This is a really entertaining movie with great characters and a lot of amazing twists.I rate movies depending on their genre. This is a simple action/thriller movie. And if you're into that type of movies you should watch this one.

I liked Heist. I'm not usually a big shoot them up movie fan. There is a nice story line in this movie. The actor that plays the main character "the hero" is really good in this movie. I wish that I could give the movie more stars but the plot is weakly developed. I writing a weak review right now because I'm a project manager not a professional movie critic, the idea of this movie is great and the acting is good, just its a little off, maybe the developer of the movie needed one more rewrite to make his movie a 5 star general.

I went into this movie with no expectations. The cast looked good and the plot sounded interesting. The movie ended up truly surprising me! It was very well acted and had a story that went places I did not expect. It was nice to see a movie that had good action but didn't give up having a fascinating plot in the process. This one is definitely worth watching.

This is a really well done movie. Enjoyed it from start to finish with all of it's mini-plot twists. Jeffrey Dean Morgan before we loved to hate him as Negan. Hey, do you think this WAS Negan before the Walking Dead happened? Things that make you go hmmmm...:-)

There are a lot of other reviews which are going to be far more in-depth than what I would do. I break a movie form to simple components: Could I follow it? Was it well acted? Would I watch it again? The answer those questions is a simple 'Yes'.Heist is Casino meets Speed. Jeffery Dean Morgan (John Winchester of Supernatural fame) plays Vaughn, the father of a very ill young daughter. Vaughn works for Swan casino run by Pope (Robert DeNiro). Derrick (Morris Chestnut) is Pope's right hand man, a position which had previously been turned down by Vaughn.Vaughn's hospitalized daughter has accumulated hundred of thousands of dollars in bills and Vaughn has no way to pay it off. Asking for help from Pope only gets him turned down and desperate.You very pretty much figure it the rest based on those clues.

Well acted movie with 2 of my favorite actors, Robert DeNiro and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Morgan's character, who works the gambling tables for DeNiro's floating casino, asks a favor of a large sum of cash for his dying daughter's surgery. DeNiro is excellent as the "by the rules", "no exceptions" cold boss. Morgan is turned down and goes to extremes to get the cash he needs. That's where the plot thickens and you go on a "roller-coaster ride" to see how it all turns out. Lots of twists and edge-of-your-seat thrills! Highly recommend, especially if you need an escape for a little while.
