Item works great to keep deer away.
I reside in a city neighborhood that has a number of pet deer that room the yards and eat everything. I have used sprays, bar soap and other items to try to save my flowers and vegetation. I purchased three of these and they worked great. I was able to see after a snow that the deer tracks were not present in my yard but in both my adjacent neighbors yards... Success ......

Fake Return Issue
I bought 6 of this sensors. 5 out of 6 work fine as described for the reason that I rate it 1 star. I will rate 5 stars if the return issue is resolved satisfactory. 1 sensor was manufacture defect, continuously activated at mode 5 for several hours until running out of battery even there was no motion in my garden throughout the whole night time. When prepared to return, question was asked whether the package was opened and used, but logically without opening and used, how could I know it was defective. A contradictory question. I had to pay $13 USPS fee to return the product to a none deliverable address and the package returned back to me. No way to contact Amazon to resolve the issue. At the end, I had to spend additional $13 USPS fee to keep the defective product. Afraid that I have to spend more for USPS service if I insist to return it again, which forced me to write this low rate review that I never done before.

Can't tell if it works
It seems like there are animals visiting our side yard in spite of this being set up. On a good note though, no groundhogs anymore!

I had high hopes for this
I really wanted this to work. I have been trying for three years to get rid of a groundhog which has dug a tunnel from a hill by my house, all the way under my house with an exit hold under the porch. I read all the instructions carefully, charged it up, set the frequency to what I thought was the correct one, and set it near the tunnel exit. The groundhog is not impressed. While sitting on my porch I watched it come out of it's tunnel and saunter past the device with barely a grunt. It also says it deters dogs and cats. My dogs were just curious about it and approached to investigate. The first time the light flashed they were startled but got used to it. For a while it seemed it might be deterring my neighbors hoard of annoying barn cats. I was happy. But it appears that their determination to dig up my flower bed has overridden their possible annoyance. They seem to have acclimated to it.I have had to charge it a couple of times via USB. Not sure why. I think we have plenty of sun during the days, interspersed with occasional rainy ones so I had expected it to recharge itself every day.I will keep fiddling with it, changing frequencies and location in the hopes I'm just in need of a learning curve. But at this point it appears that it is no match for all the critters that pester me

Keeps animals away
The media could not be loaded. We bought this to deter deer and rodents from eating away at our garden. easy to install, lights and slight sound are doing a good job at redirecting our animal ‘visitors’. Nice product, happy with the purchase.

Solar animal repellent that has 360 activation
Our front yard is comprised of so many "deer resistant" plants, trees, shrubs, etc. But deer resistant is a lie when it comes to our deer in Missouri! They are eating things they've never eaten before. We live with woods behind us so they have plenty of things to eat there, but for some reason they are going after my lilacs, Japanese red maple, barberry bushes, etc. When I saw that this has a 360 field of activation, I was intrigued to try this. Let me say that the 360 field does work and picks up when I walk around in the yard. Of course the real test will be on the deer!I watched the video on how to assemble because the directions didn't really explain if it would be okay to stuff the wires back into the pole before connecting. Other than that, assembly is pretty easy. It charged up quickly in the house and then I set it outside where it can get lots of sunlight. It has various levels of control for sensitivity to extend the detection range for smaller animals. With five frequency channels, it targets specific pests like rats, cats, snakes, and raccoon with optimal ultrasonic waves. LED flashes amplify deterrent capabilities, ensuring tailored pest control, and improving overall efficiency. It does say to keep the pole well above ground to get the best detection. We shall see how this works. We do have two similar ones in our back yard and I know we have to move them from time to time so the deer don't get too used to them. The idea is to surprise them.

Effective and Eco-Friendly Solution for Pests
I've been using the Solar Animal Repellent for a couple of weeks now, and I'm quite impressed with its performance. The combination of ultrasonic sound, motion sensors, and flashing lights seems to effectively deter unwanted visitors like squirrels and cats from my yard. The waterproof design is a big plus, allowing it to withstand various weather conditions without any issues. I also appreciate the solar-powered feature, which means I don't have to worry about replacing batteries. However, I did notice that it takes some time for the animals to get used to the device, and it may not be 100% effective on all types of pests. Overall, it’s a solid investment for anyone looking for a humane way to keep their outdoor spaces pest-free!
