Crazy delicious
At first I thought I'd be returning these, because the nuts seemed small and way too hard and had no taste. But then I tried the idea of roasting that another reviewer mentioned. They suggested that because they found their nuts to be too soft - but I was finding mine to be too hard. But I thought, why not try?I put them in my toaster oven on the lowest setting for bake: 120° for about 75 minutes, and they were transformed. Now I can't stop eating them. They are super sweet and delicious. In fact I like them better than pre-shelled macadamia nuts I was buying in bags, which were too salty and seemed too fat. These are much nuttier. I'm hooked.

Great product.
Looks great taste great if you’re cooking in the oven for an hour at 200F and let it cool in dry place, enjoy it, easy to crock.

Eden Approved
The package was delivered 5 days early. The nuts are a good size and very fresh and it was packed SO WELL, that really impressed me, but above all my blu hyacinth made a purring noise, therefore 2 thumbs up and 5 stars for being EDEN APPROVED

These nuts weren't dry enough for consumption
Macadamia nuts have to be dried before consumption - their moisture content has to be reduced down to 4%, so (1) the shell is hard and cracks properly, (2) the nut is crunchy rather than chewy. The nuts I ordered here weren't properly dried. They didn't crack cleanly in the nut-cracker -- they sort of squished and bended. The meat inside was chewy. It was still tasty! I could tell that these were high quality macadamia nuts! just not yet ready for eating.I would have to dry them further myself. How to do that? The California Macadamia Nut Growers' Association says: "A kitchen oven at the lowest warm setting, or a food dehydrator at the nut setting (around 104 degrees) for two to three days."I don't have a food dehydrator, and my oven's not very good, so I was stuck with 2lb of sub-optimal macadamias. Oh well. I'll be looking around for other sources of nuts for my next purchase.
