A very useful appliance.

I have a cast iron tortilla press and I do love it. This was a gift for a friend. She's in love with the color and it seems to wear well. No chips or nicks. The handle is a good 3" longer than mine which doesn't require as much pressure to make tortillas. Didn't come with the plastic sheet necessary to make corn tortillas so I cut the sides out of a Zip Top freezer bag.

This is my first tortilla press maker and really love how light it is and the color is great! I was using two plates to make tortillas and no more! I love that this does it make it thinner and you just have to use a less masa ball if you want it to be thin or make it how you normally do and it will come out thicker. If you want to make big tortillas get a bigger size plate. I feel like these are prefect for small and medium size tortillas. Oh yeah mine made a squeaky sound when I was opening it up and down and once you wash it, the squeak noise stopped!

The paint chips and will go onto the dough if you use it without paper. The tortillas come out really thick

We love that it's not sharp around the edges and the tortillas come out round not flat at 1 side like other ones.

I returned this without trying. It felt so light and cheap and flimsy it felt like it would break the minute I tried to use it. I like the color but that's about all.
