Made in USA, But Sadly Frail
Initially these worked great: they looked great, functioned well, and appeared durable, plus they're made in the USA! I used them for my Sperry Top-Siders to replace their synthetic laces, and for two months I didn't have a problem. But for some reason after using these infrequently during weekends, the laces on one of the shoes snapped while I was tying it! This puts a dent in my day since I can't wear these shoes again until I get new laces---not something I expected to have happen, but sadly it did. Take this as you will, but I leave it as a warning.UPDATE: So I recently bought these again for replacements, and instead of buying 36" I bought 72" (not a significant difference in price), and I found that the longer version appears to be built a lot thicker. The shorter version had some tapered portions where the thickness could fall to as much as half the thickness of the longer version---perhaps this is a lack of quality control or a fault in the particular product I received giving reason to why it snapped so soon (within 2 months of purchase). So based off my experience I'd recommend shelling out the extra money ($1?) to get the 72" version which seems like it is better quality (plus you won't have too little for whatever you plan to do with it).

Perfect Replacement for Sperry Duck Boots
(Picture: FeetPeople lace on the left, original Sperry lace in the right)After my dog chewed the lace on my right Sperry duck boot, I was in need of a replacement. I ordered these in metallic gold, 36" length and it was the perfect length to lace my boot and tie the same knot on the ends that the boots come with. I cannot speak for the durability of these laces yet, they are a little thinner than the original Sperry boot laces. The Sperry boot laces are 3mm thick while the Feet People laces are 2mm. The gold color matches really well.

Amazing, amazing, amazing leather laces.
Amazing shoe laces. I work in the mining business so you know these were put through the real test. I applied some leather conditioner on them maybe once every 6 months to take care of them. I'm on my second pair of work boots in 2 years and I'm using the same pair of these leather shoe laces for my new work boots. I dont understand what the 4 stars and below are complaining about. If you take care of them like you're supposed to take care of leather they will last but people expect them to last a life time with out any maintenance. Like I said I work in the copper mines of arizona and they have out lasted 2 pair of work boots. Usually its the other way around. Please buy these and when you do dont be lazy and apply some leather conditioner as needed and they will last you a long time.

Laces fine overall, just a bit too thick for my dressier shoe.
The product itself was fine and lived up to its description as a leather bootlace. The shoes I was lacing were Sperry top sider variations -- women's wedge-style slip-on with a more "stylish" design than the basic boat shoe. I'd gotten these in like-new condition for $6 at a thrift store (new ones cost $80-plus), but one shoe was missing the lace. This meant the leather I needed to match the laced shoe was a bit softer and smaller than what I ordered here. However, laces worked just fine on my hiking boots so I am a satisfied customer. The overriding point is that it was FAR more economical to take a chance on this seller's laces, offered at very reasonable prices, than to order official, very pricey replacements from the manufacturer. I would definitely use this seller again to purchase more rugged hiking boot laces and the like. FYI, ended up finding the softer/thinner laces I needed from a place that sells them for the purpose of re-lacing baseball gloves.

If you have a dog that gets your laces, you can’t go wrong with replacing them with these!
I have a Great Dane that likes to chew up my leather laces on my nice boots if I don’t put them up immediately after coming home, so I am very grateful to have found FeetPeople. I’m a repeat buyer because their laces are quality leather at an affordable price. Many colors to choose from ensure I get a match to the original laces. Much appreciation!

FeetPeople Rawhide Shoe Laces [72" Cherokee Brown]
I bought these rawhide laces to re-string my favorite old LL Bean boat moccasins. At 72-inches, I knew they would be extra long, but the excess rawhide always seems to come in handy for something around the house or shop, so is good to have on hand. The laces are made in the USA and are of very good quality overall. The Cherokee brown color was also a good match for the old rawhide laces.

Great color and quality! Perfect for desert boots.
Great inexpensive laces to add a bit of flair to your shoes. I got these in Royal Blue and use them with my desert chukkas. Their a bit stiff at first, but if you wad them up in your hand and just kind of crumple harshly for 10-20 mins the leather fibers will break down and they'll become nice and soft. They've held up really well over the past few months. Will definitely buy more of these again in other colors.

Exceeded my expectations!
These shoelaces exceeded my expectations. I bought these to replace laces on my brand-new topsiders which have one lace chewed up. The quality is amazing! I bought these leases in Pearl to match my light gray pair topsiders. They match the original laces so well, I ended up needing to replace only one lace. The quality actually seems better than the original ones. If my cats ever get their paws on my topsiders again, I will buy again from this seller in a heartbeat.
